To play on xbox live does your dsl/cable modem need to be directly connected to your xbox?
Also If my friends are over will all four of us be able to play online under my gamertag for Halo 2?

no there are other ways to connect it like using a router and such.

yes halo 2 has been confirmed to support 3 other guests.

You need a router I think (not a HUB, a router!) and its rumoured you can have 3 guests on a halo2 live account. I'm not 100% certain. Go to Xbox.com to see how to install Xbox live.

There was a report where someone had a huge list of halo 2 stuff and screens at the bottom. He mentioned 3 guests but its not been confirmed by bungie so technicall its still a rumour until bungie says otherwise.

I can't wait to cuss people out once I kill them. heh...is there some kind've filter to stop bad language? I was thinking the only way that's possible is if real live talking is delayed before it reaches teamates...

that would be stupid to have three people huddled around a small t.v.(not everyone has a big screan in there room) all sreaming into the mike

and also looking at each others screan,

i don't think so

xbox live was made so that you can play your friends with out even having to know where they live(that's what i do)

besides mechasault(sucks) do you see any other games that suport 2 or more people online
no because it's a bad idea

and if your friends don't already have an xbox than they've been missing out on something for over 2 years now
so hit them upside the head and tell them to go get one

Options are always good. You don't have to use. Say you have a friend fly in from another state wouldn't you want to play with them over Xbox Live. Also as part of the rumour for split screen XBL each player can have there own head set.

OK if you want to be live you have to look at xbox.com/live and it will give you everything you need to know...and dont be such a -blam- idiot dude, look on the back of your XBL able games and it will say if it has more than 2 players on one xbox, whic to answer...there will be only 2 people alowwed to be on XBL at a time so tell your frends to get XBL and get it for you and then-blam-all of you can play together like good little spartans/cove.
