In truth macs are better more stable have less flaws and are easier to use... so you ask why do we all use windows instead. Well i'll tell you why, its because Bill Gates can just buy anybody that likes mac and put them to work in his slave labor factory thats why.

It helps that the Mac has little in the way of hardware variety (you can't open up a Mac and upgrade it). The PC is a very complicated platform with a lot of different hardware varieties. The Mac has more in common with a console.

The older Macs technically ARE consoles for all intents and purposes. If it's a proprietary system that cannot be upgraded, it's a console. Some consoles could be upgraded, so the definition doesn't work both ways. But from the Macintosh, Mac Classic, all the way up to and I'm sure past the Mac Quadra, these are all technically considered consoles. They are in the same vein as the Commodore 64, Atari ST, Sinclair Spectrum etc...

I can't believe anyone bought a Mac after the Color Classic.

I like the look of an iMac - Apple really know how to make stylish computers. Shame PCs don't look that good.

Psssh. PC is the best. 'Nuff said. Better games, better design, better hardware, and considering I built mine, myself, I'd have to say it's flawless(if you don't count that thing where it keeps trying to kill me).

Wow goweb you should know better than to get into a Mac vs. PC argument, or... discussion (i guess), I was stopped by Stosh in one of those.

If ignorance is bliss then I'm glad to be damned.

I'll try to argue as least as I can but thats the only way to fight ignorance, so I hope you can imagine the jam I'm in. Actually you can use just about any mouse you like with a Mac, you can buy Micro$oft optical mice and use those with your Mac, But the fact for me is that I've had a PowerBook G4 Ti for more than three years now and It never once has Crashed or Frozen on me, In fact It runs smoother than my PC desktop that I only recently built with good components. And don't even get me started about the glory of a Dual 2Ghz G5 with a 32 inch HD cinema display.

Actually I can upgrade it a lot, maybe not as much as a PC, but everything that matters can be upgraded, so stop being ignorant.

I don't know but we better stop before we hate each other and it gets locked and the mods don't like us a little bit more. By-the-way it's nice to see you back GreenChief.

I find Macs easier for large netwroks. My school, its private, uses a wireless network capably of using windows and macs on the same network. But macs are easier to use for larger networks, and windows is goo for personal things. Linux is also good too because its free

You're thinking operating systems. I've been using linux/unix for almost 11 years and I still find windows better. Linux is solely and always will be for system administrators, not to mention the new version of Mandrake Linux annoys me.. It can't even pick up a LAN card anymore.

On a side note: Using our school (University sized) networking the windows and Solaris platforms we use perform and setup a lot simplier with DHCP (which I assume you're using).

None the less, sick with PC vs Mac's not their operating systems.

I'm hardly involved in it. I see good in both systems. But it's unfair to compare PCs and Macs on stability grounds.
