Alright I decided that after getting my games yesterdau fom gamefly I would post a review of Spider-Man 2, but low and behold I'm going to give you 2 reviews Spider-man 2 and Lupin the 3rd:Treasure of the Sorcerer King, enjoy!

Spider-man 2 Xbox review

Well, this game is actually surprisingly good the webslinging swinging aspect of the game is awesome and a lot of fun; Once you get used to the controls, it took me awhile to learn how to do this that, with the help of Bruce Campbell of course, that's right old Brucey is going to voice a lot of the game to help you out like at the begining of a new chapter he provides commentary with plenty of that old Brucey Sarcasm. Well some of the voiceovers for the game are really good a lot are very bad. As a note for controls, it is now possible to hold on to 2 lines.

The Graphics in the game are very good and on that note, when you swan dive off of a very tall building you get a motion blur as your going down but don't forget to press the R trigger right before you hit the ground or you will be a spidey Pancake!Yum! Spider-man himself is very detailed and every thing that is supposed to move moves like when he goes to shoot his web to grab on to buildings, poles,Lamps,Streetlights,Trees, etc. oh yeah his web doesn't just shoot off into No-where ether he has to latch onto objects, also other people appear other than spider-man and Ock, you have battles with The Rhino and Mysterio and of course Doc Ock, also Black Cat makes an apearence. The city is friggin' amazing all the windows glint in the sunlight, provided they are the big Sky scapers with Bay windows, overall the Xbox version is the best looking and has the least bit of problems, the ps2 version chugs, the gamecube version has some huge aliasing issues with textures and what not, not much to say about the pedestrians; Except that they suffer from low-polygons and bad low-res textures along with over-used textures.

Sound in game is pretty good with an upbeat Techno music for Boss battles and when your around the city the orchestral music is very good. The sound of the web coming out of spidey's hands sound particularly good. Not much else to say other than w00t to Bruce Campbell for doing so much witty commentary and many times improvising on the dialog for the game.

For the Rpg leveling up freaks, you have to go to Comic book stores and purchase your moves and speed upgrades, now this is forced upon you or the game will get really, really, hard it's your funeral if you don't upgrade. And you can do whatever you want this time, I sometimes like to call this game "Grand-Theft-Spider-Man" and I call it damn good.

Final word:
This is probably the only good spider-man game and will be a good buy since there's tons of replay value do to all the little side missions and collecting special coins that are all around the city and though gimicky there is a spider-man bullet-time like mode.

9.75/10

I'll post the Lupin the 3rd review in another post.

Lupin the 3rd:Treasure of the Sorcerer King ps2 review:
Other consoles:None

Well, this game has it's ups and downs and is different for everybody because it's an Anime game and well it wasn't designed for everybody mostly fans of the series, a plus side for this game is that the actors for the Anime Series do the voiceovers for their respected characters, sound over all is really good you got some jazzy songs in there for you to listen to while playing the game.

The controls are okay and can be sometimes clunky and when lupin is crouch walinking for some odd reason you can't make him turn around so you would just have reposition the camera and, depending on the direction you where facing press backwards on the Left thumbstick, so obviously from the time it was released the japanese forgot to hammer-out some of the bugs and animations before release in America.

The Graphics and Art design is excellent it definitly captures the Lupin the 3rd Universe's
feel and The Cutscenes are very, very, very good. Not much else to say here other than the AI is at times iffy.

Sound is excellent in all departments.

Final Word:
It's for Lupin the 3rd Anime Fans. In other words: Not for everybody.
