i would like to see two campaign modes in halo 2. it would be very cool as it would tell both sides of the story and let you understand the covenant more. just like the C&C games or the new goldeneye game and its predicesor for the N64.

also you would finally be able to look at the covenant in detail without them killing you, or you having to kill them.

there's a problem with that you either have to die or be captured cause knowing elites they'll fight to the end.

also i was thinking, if theyre going to do the coding for us to play as elites in multiplayer, theyre already half way there for elite single player. all they have to do is reuse the same levels for each different race and change bits. and give each race a few levels to themselves.

actually you would most likely see him if your elite unit(no pun intended) is in a major advance because like the grunts say: "HE'S EVERYWHERE"

no necessaryly (i cant spell) im positive that there are elites in halo that MC never came across. but they got blown up when halo went BOOM. but unlike the covenant when they sent zuka zammee to go kill MC, the humans dont treat any of the covenant as a 'special threat' they'll just try and kill all of them. so you could easily play the storyline.

Yet again I must explain this to another soul. Good thing I find it fun other wise I'd have snapped by now.

First off the idea of playing an Elite or any Covenant Campaign is not Halo at all. Halo is this.

You are human, your species is on the verge of extinction. The enemy that you face has never known defeat, they laugh at your fruitless efforts to survive, and the war is practically suicide. It doesn't help either that your back is up against the wall and you are trying to set yourself free.

The overall feel of Halo is one meant to be of desperation against the Covenant. Where your victory is not assured in this war. the feel is not supposed to be one where you are constantly victorious against the heretics. Playing as an Elite in campaign would mean you constantly win left and right and you more than outnumber the human forces.

So no, no Elite campaign. I have no beef with Elites in Multiplayer, but not where you are one in Campaign mode.

I hate that I dea. The story would be all screwed up because you'd have an elite fighting for the wrong cause. The cutscenes would be messed op too. Maybe it would be cool if there were different levels for each, or the levels were reversed. But I really don't feel like waiting another year for Halo 2.

Webser's dictionary says: a body of people living in a new territory but retaining ties to the parent state.

if you played as an elite you would just walk through every level untill you met the MC then you would die.

Pez just shut you tha ***k up! Earth ISN'T a colony you dummy.

And I still doubt Earth forces outnumber them. They have been alive longer than us, have probably much more territory and time to populate it than us, and most importantly they are the fusion of multiple races into one group, so tell me how the hell covies are still easily not going to outnumber humans?

I think a covie campaign WOULD be cool.
They should do it like either to reveal different battles-
ex.right after new mombassa you go to kenya but before you get there as MC you have to battle humans as an elite you know, like alternate after every level or every few levels to show vital story points/battles that happen in other places. The one thing is that you will have to be fighting some hardcore/tactical marines that kick ass and don't suck like on Halo 1 and for the most part covie missions would be missions in which you get some grunts and few jackals and try to invade Earth territories OR your a lone elite doing stealth missions trying to flank marines and clear areas for back up infantry/space to set up artillery. But the marines can't be -blam!- like in pt 1, they can't stop shooting once they get hit and have a huge recoil from being shot, they will just flinch like elites do when their shield is being shot.
-OR-
You will play covie missions after you beat the game to reveal stories of how battles went while MC was doing other stuff OR perhaps it's a completely different story that leads to a new ending(but isn't the REAL true ending of the Halo saga) in which you actually kill MC at the end. That would be neat. It could be like an easter egg..kinda.
