Oh, yes, another chance to do the numbered bulleted list thing again. I like this!
* 1. Don't resurrect dead threads. They die for a reason. Don't desecrate the corpse by digging it up and shoving it in people's faces.
* 2. Halo and Halo 2 are rated "M for Mature", meaning 17+ recommended, in the United States. In other countries, it received different ratings. For example, in Australia, Halo and Halo 2 are rated MA15+, but it's not a recommendation - it's the law that people under 15 can't buy the games.
* 3. In addition to this, other Bungie games received different ratings to Halo and Halo 2. For example, my copy of Oni doesn't appear to have a rating, unless it's covered up by the *shudder* Rockstar Games logo. Ugh. My other Bungie games don't seem to be rated either, although that may have something to do with me not owning the boxes anymore. As far as I'm aware, interactive entertainments didn't receive ratings back when Marathon was made.
Thus it would not make sense for Bungie to make a restriction on membership age based on the ratings their games received. If they were to do this, they would alienate a small but significant portion of their fanbase - the fans of older games who aren't yet "old enough" (whatever that means) to play some game they may have no interest in playing at all. I don't want to start pointing people out, but there are many "mature" members of Bungie.net who are avid Bungie fans, and have been since before Halo. To lock these people out would be a crime against the community.
In short, this will never occur, and the thread is locked.
