Pretty sure it is Magnetic Accelerator Cannon.

i think so too... but i also think that its like Machine-AutoCannon or something... but its unlikely

(i know this should be in a halo2 forum) but how can it be gauss?the warthog hasa gauss cannon and it is TINY! but the MAC guns on cairo station are massive!

Believe me, the MAC gun is 10000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 times more powerful than the Gauss Cannon, but they work the same.

It stand for Magnetic Accelerator Cannon, and the Pillar of Autumn had one under the ship.
