There's nothing wrong with admitting H2's not up to snuff. Most of the gaming world has been screaming it at them all along anyway. Bungie must get hundreds of emails a week adressing MLG and all they can do is answer questions like "what would MC look like if he ate all the pies?" it's idiocy. They played against that japanese clan and found out how "balanced" there game was right then and there. The word helpless was even thrown around. At Colossus their sniper didn't have to be good, the auto-aim will do most of the work for him and it's not like they can shoot back. They might as well just hit start up and a right after they lost the sniper, it would have saved some time. When's the last time in H1 a sniper stood still and got 21 kills in a row with out dying, in a 4v4 no less. H2 is trash in comparison to the original, the gameplay is just too basic.
They know they screwed up, even if they won't admit it publicly. My concern is that they are now set against yet another deadline, the release of XBox 2. They should go back to their "It'll be done when it's done" line. So what if XBox 2 has to wait a few months for Halo 3? Wouldn't it all be worth it in the end? A big reason I don't like paying for extra maps is because it's a rushed game in the first place. Had they taken the time to do it right, we would have had more maps to begin with. Then, if they wanted us to pay for even more, I would have felt a lot better about it.
