The only immediate problem I would like to bring up with this update is the Push to Talk Restriction being increased subsequentially causing an increase in 'laggy' games. Time after time I read in the Halo 3 Forum about games being laggy and as a result a lose is recorded for participating players in that game. Why was this course of action decided upon? And what of a full, tactical party going into squad battle?
What does this mean for players? Well, for starters, it means communicating to teammates in 5v5 or 6v6 playlists will be trivial. However, this could mean an increase in bandwidth necessary for these larger format playlists, which means the potential for “laggy” games is increased. The best way to avoid lag in these games is to ensure that you are not constantly broadcasting to your teammates, and that your teammates are not constantly broadcasting to you.By reading this it sounds as if a completely new style of play is going to have to be adapted to players that want to stay together and compete as a team. The 'Party System' was implemented to allow groups over four to talk to each other without using the D-pad so why all of a sudden is this new feature implemented if a major drawback to the system are/is 'laggy' games?
