I have a few questions...

#1)How do you place the top graphic and bottom graphics, there is no place for them in the syles.css note pad...?

#2)How do you get rid of that thing on the right side of the theme that says MainStaticBackground?

#3) How do you get rid of those other title things, like those little writings on the theme that say like "Titlebarsmall.gif" or "headerarrow.gif" How do you get rid of it..?

And Lastly #4) How do I change the actual color background...? I know how to change the text and menu stuff, but I couldnt find the code area for the background color...

Ya don't, ya don't, ya don't, and you change the background image.

You cannot manipulate the code, outside of changing color variables. The background's color is determined by images. So you cannot move or remove components. If you don't want something there, make it a transparent .gif. However, if you turn in a theme that has no arrows or such in them, chances are it's not going to be accepted.

But that dosent really answer all my questions...

I still dont know how to place the top and bottom graphic...

And None of the skins I see on Bungie.Net have words on the title bar that say.."Titlebar.gif"

BTW Im talking about when I look into the web browser, not when im in the styles.css notepad...

Go into the images folder, and replace each image with one that you've created. That and some CSS is all you do.

You need a basic understanding of websites to know how this works. Your "ThemeBuilder.htm" is an HTML file that draws it's images from the images folder, and the style from the CSS file. You edit the CSS file to change things such as color, and then edit the images to suit your needs. If you need more help, I suggest you read the Rip Saw's guide up top.

You might also try to read the ReadMe.rtf file. I mean, really, is it that difficult? What you're doing it buying a product with some assembly required and asking for help before even reading the instructions. And damn, many people do this.

what do you use to open up themebuilder.zip? I dont know what to use

Chances are if you can't open a .zip file you won't be able to make a theme.

Did you get to the part where you have to actually REPLACE the graphics? That's sort of important. :\

I recently aquired photoshop CS (it's disappointingly only slightly better than 7.0) and I'm working on a theme. Question: are animated .gifs ok?

Anyway, once I finish with this one I'm going to embark on an attempt to create a theme using only MS Paint.

Yes, if the image is a .gif, animated .gifs are ok. Just make sure you don't make them too big, keep track of the file size.

Oh, and don't make them ugly.

My animated .gifs are never ugly. :)

They are large, though...

Here's an example. I made this sig last night in about 15 minutes. The only stolen item was the animated character on the right, Gaara, from Naruto.

I too have a question, What do the 'arrow mouse' files change? e.g. 'GroupHeadArrowMouse.gif'

Also, what do you do about the navs?

In the beginning, change the colors of headarrowmouse stuff to vibrant colors like red and yellow, just until you knwo what they are, then change them to the color you want...

Also, how do you change the colour of the circled sections of this picture?

Read The Rip Saws guide first, and the READ ME, if you still are lost, come back here, cause its gonna take to long to explain...

Well i've managed to fix the scroll bar colour. I know how to change the rest, but all i would like to know is what file or Style.css section the other circled bits are connected to.

Please just tell me, i doubt it's in the ReadMe or thread.
