no, they're very easy. plus, you have more control with the mouse instead of the thumbstick.

Well, I play the Xbox version occasionally, so I am decent at it. The controls are VERY different, but they're not hard to get used to, just hard to master (ie Geforce strafing ). The only noticable difference in the game is that the MASSIVE autoaim applied in the Xbox version is gone, so that sniping effectively is difficult, but not impossible (I mean, hey, I do it all the time).

The multiplayer opportunities are FREE and MUCH better than on Xbox, so take full advanatage of them. If you get decent, download Halo CE and play on there (although I won't be there 'cause the lazy people at Macsoft haven't ported it). Ever wanted to participate in -blam!- Wars? Now you can.

Any newb should read this ENTIRE thread .

Now, what's your comp's specs? If your machine is older than 2002, I garauntee it won't run Halo effectively. If its later than that, and its got decent hardware and the latest drivers, you're set.

Play through the campaign until you can beat it with ease on legendary, then come join the carnage online.

If you have any questions, email me at yout23000@yahoo.com .

It's worth it,
yout3

and if the controlls still drive you nutz, you can always change 'em, or if you're still fumbled, just buy an xbox-usb adapter. it'll let yu play with youre xbox controller

Don't call Halo PC Halo ce cause that is confusing people that we really need to come to CE which stands for custom edition. I only beat the campaign on easy but that might be why it took me so long to get good. The controls aren't that hard to learn, get the demo first to see if you like it although keep in mind that there were somethings changed in the full version. Plus you get the banshee in multiplayer. Some people say its cheap but I don't mind aslong as there are plasma nades.

na the banshee's only really cheap in the demo, that's what newbs use to get all their kills, when the good players can just take them out :) also ya that reminds me download the demo first to see how u like it, if ur comp. can run the demo, u should be fine for the full version.

jman u are prety accurate, but it does kinda change in the demo. The silent happens to be one of the less graphoic areas of the game . here are some graphical intense levels: Truth and Reconcilition., Keyes, and Assault On control Room. Bungie made the demo level Silent Carto instead of Pillar of Autumn cause its not grphic at all. so more peeps will buy it. simple

Try the demo version at microsoft.com to see if you like it first. Comes with SC (like someone mentioned) and bloodgulch multiplayer.

-No standbying online

-Demo to see if pc can handle it

-Watch out for lag online!

-free online gaming

I like it. As well as everybody at the Maw.

I only beat it on heroic - legendary is tough.... And I'm still like a 7 - out of 10, not great, but I can hold my own.

Buy it. Tell us your pc specs, and like someone else said, pre-2002 might be a bit iffy. IT is worth it, the free multiplayer, Halo:Custom Edition, mods, all very cool.

If you can run the demo, you can run the full version. I haven't played the demo in a while so I don't know how many servers there are.

I disagree with telling them to play campaign until they can beat it with ease on Legendary. With campaign you are playing AI. AI can be predictable. Actual people can be too but it is totally different game play. Here is how I see getting started. Try it and dont worry about your skill level. There is always room for improvement. Just do me one little favor. Have FUN! That is what it is all about. Especially starting out dont get angry when you die alot. With a little practice and some helpful advice from those of us here at The Maw you are bound to get better. Hope to see you on!

just dont become a fanatic about it. Remember, its just a game. No need to glory-steal or back-smack.
