Yes...since halo 2 supports xbox live, I am thinkin about getting it. I had a question about latency on xbox live...If i connect around 800kbs (upload and download) and have a 60ms ping, is that good enough for xbox live if the ISP worked with xbox live. What are some of your pings and connections speeds..? I mainly want to know if 60ms is a good enough ping to host my own games without lag on halo 2. I know my connection speed is fast enough.

If you cable internet , it should work with live regardless of your connection speed , I just dont think you should use wireless.

I was just playing my friend in Halo for pc, and this was the first time i played someone where i know where they are, he lives like 10 miles from me. His ping was 20-50ms. And with halo 2 and live with how they said they would try and put people with the same ISP and who are close together, it's got me really excitied, I hate game with 150-200, Halo 2 with ~40ms

:-)

Behold the power of the Originals, the Gods Axeone-Neurone.

You will definitely be able to host at least some games. You will have to experiment to make sure you could host the maximum.

Latency is hard to calculate with the Xbox, because it uses a quick method that is not very accurate. It think my latency is comparable to your, but I don't have enough upload to host games (on the internet have not tired host on XBL) only 300kbs upload. Joining games I have found no lag at all.

if you read the last weekly update i believe. it says that one of the guys was playing with friends in australia!!! if that is possible than i don't think anyone with broadband will have any problems.

"The coolest thing I’ve seen so far is that I got to play with some guys from Australia and kick their asses. Score one for Kiwi pride!"
