It is the soldier, not the reporter, who has given us freedom of the press. It is the soldier, not the poet, who has given us freedom of speech. It is the soldier, not the campus organizer, who has given us the freedom to demonstrate. It is the soldier, not the lawyer, who has given us the right to a fair trial. And it is the soldier who salutes the flag, who serves the flag, whose coffin is draped in the flag that allows the protester to burn the flag.Father Dennis Edward O'Brien, USMC

Do you have anything else you wish to discuss?

Id like to do something for the community/counsil

the council sounds like a simple enough job. We scope out popular chapters and make posts with links to them in the community so that everyone can enjoy them, im gathering from the first post in this topic. Although Im not sure what handling news meant but im betting its like straightening out rumors.

- i started "Red Revolution" and it was a successful chapter while i was a member.

sorry thats it for my accomplishments in the community to date.

Time for intermission

After you watch that get back to the debate.

[Also I would like to add that the toon accutally relates to this]

Lighten up, stop being so -blam!-.

Why stay on this site unless you can have a little fun once in a while? Unless you feel like being an -blam!- the whole time; but that's just my opinion.

Like I said Josher, just trying to prove my point. You ELITES (thats you) say we newer members arnt has mature and that we break the rules. I just used those last couple of posts has an example showing everyone does it. And of course you all jumped on me.

I am not saying I am a saint cuz i know and admit to breaking rules sometimes.

Problem is that us, as you put it, ELITES know what times fun is necassary, and what times it is not. A lot of newer members don't know that right time yet. It doesn't mean we're not open to suggestions though. While I think of it, any hint of a reply?

In conclusion: If you join the council, you will not be eaten by a lion.

In reply to the question about the replies, not that i'm aware of.

Good Idea.

So what exactly is happening with the whole 7th council idea anyway. Has everyone just given up on it. What has been decided?

I've got an idea for the council. A sort of first order of business. A group directory should be created, kind of like a phone book for the column. In one part you could have every group listed in alphabetical order and then have the group founder listed along with a short description submitted by each group. In a second part you could have groups divided into interest areas. The first section would be easy because you could get one of the web team to write a script or something to read through the database. The second would be mostly deciding on how to categorize all of the groups. Tell me what you think.

Ok. Good idea, i like it. Kinda like the existing group directory, only more complex.

So, Basicly, you could end up with a series of screens where you input the data, the site then adds the data to the appropriate place in the directory.

It would probably take a while to work out appropriate catagories, but it'll probably be worth it.

Although this is more of a site suggestion, the council could help promote it and maybe maintain it.

I would like to help in any way I can. Even if not a council member. There is always help and guidance to be given amongst the forums.
