Your Guide to Understanding and Navigating Bungie.net
This is your official guide to understanding Bungie.net. The way it works, the options you are granted, how to use these options, how to navigate the site, and general posting tips are all included here.
(Note: This is a Basic Bungie.net guide and contains no information on Groups/Chapters, Personal Messaging, or the Text Mark Up Tags)
The Bungie.net Home Page
The Bungie.net home page, located here , is the first place you enter after typing into your browser. The Bungie.net home page has three main features: Top Stories, News Stories, and Current Projects. The following describes each in detail:
Top stories:
Top Stories, located at the top of the screen just under the Top Graphic, are News stories deemed important by Bungie. You may find such stories as the Weekly What’s Update, Hump Day News, and Important Gaming News here. To access these stories either click on the Title itself or the Picture located next to the story. You may also notice the “Previous Stories” button, this is used to access any older News that has since fallen off of the main page, to access it just press the button.
News Stories:
News Stories, located just under the Top Stories section, are the same general idea as the Top Stories but are not as important in such. You will find such topics as Update Information, and less important Gaming News here. To access one f these stories you must click on the tile of the story. You will also notice the “Previous Stories” button here also, it is used for the same purpose as the before mentioned button.
Current Projects:
Current Projects, located to the left of the screen and takes up the whole side, is where Bungie will post links to whatever current projects they are working on. By pressing one of these links it will take you straight to that projects homepage where you may access more information on the project.
You may also notice that you have the ability to submit News straight to the Bungie Homepage, though you will rarely see fan submitted news article. This is because it is entirely possible for a Fan to stumble across important News before a Bungie official does. Keep in mind though, your submitted news will be sent through a screening process, and must be deemed important enough by a Bungie employee before it will show up on the main page, if your story is not deemed important enough it will be deleted.
Project Home Page
The Project Home Page, such as this one, is accessed by clicking on one of the Project Links for-mentioned, and is your main hub of information on said project. Whether the project is active of has already been finished does not come into account here, you will find all the information you need here. The Project Home Page also has three main sections: The Description, The Links, and The Contents Section.
The Description:
The Description, located just under the Top Graphic, gives you the basic information on said project, describing such things as storyline and game play.
The Links:
The Links, located just under the Description, are you access to even more information about said project. You will notice there are many links, including Screenshots, Wallpapers, Gallery, and FAQ/Info. To access said links just click on the text. The links will guide you to the pages with said link information in them.
The Contents Section:
The Contents section, located in the bar to the left of the page, where the Current Projects section was, is your quick access to any part of the Projects page. You will find links to all the pages on the Project here, including “About” pages and etc… To access one of these links just click on the ext.

Just below the main Links are located some smaller yet just as important links. They include the Privacy Statement, Terms of Use, and Code of Conduct, which all members should read and understand. It also contains Links to Job offers within Bungie, and a Contact Bungie and Help section. You may minimize the whole slider to a smaller size by clicking on the Triangle located on the far right of the slider.
