Yes, I know this should be in Halo2 Vista/HaloPC but that area is full of people interested primarily in Halo 2 or their rank. Nothing else.

Well, I played Halo:Custom Edition the other day and I scoured through the development commands when I came upon this rather strange command:

hud_blink_motion_sensor

It does what it says on the tin, even though I expected it not to. The hud blinks orange (inside) and green (outline) three times, stops and then cycles again until stopped.

It's one of the few remaining mysteries of Halo: Combat Evolved as I suspect that it also exists on Halo for XBox (although I have no XDK devkit to confirm this).

Anybody have any idea as to why it was never used in game play? It would have fit quite nicely with the Flood sequences.

This is actually the stupidest thing ever posted on B.net:

Why does everyone hate Halo 2? Maybe its because its the worst game ever next to mario.

You should of never brought up hud_blink_motion_sensor.

Now Bungie has to kill you.

They may have planned to use it as a motion tracker as another character model, but decided not to use the idea.
I've never heard of it.
