--Halo 2 is a great game-- But knowing that everytime i go into a matchmaking game, people try to be host, It took me 10 minutes to find one game. Its irratating and annoying.
--Reset the stats, cause the legit players who dont standby are lower levels and would like to be up there with the level 40s and 50.
--I used to be and 18 yeah, i lost it, guess how? Standby.
--Take off the dumb level boost thing, fix it, most percentage of the level 30s are level boosters. 25% are boosters in the 30s 1/4 of the player on live. Sad...The level 50s about 15% of them are pretty sad. It takes the fun out of the game.

I think stats should be reset. I would'nt like seeing cheaters high up on the leaderboards forever. If they standbyed to the top, once standby is fixed they will just stop playing that gametype so they can stay there. And I dont see why people are freaking out about losing there level if you reset them, Its just a number. Dont make that nubmer into to big of a deal, its purpose is just to match you against somewhat equally skilled players so the games are more interesting.

That's a pretty big deal. If this number is reset, than all games will be unfairly matched for at least a month. Which would be bad.

Cmon people the stats need to be resetted, its a given. Think about all the extra games you lost because of cheaters. I know that my losses are jacked up because of it and i am pissed, i probably have 50 more games in the losses column just from that. Just imagine now how resetting your stats will be, everyone who is level 17 i estimate well all be in the 20's W/O all those -blam!- cheating losses. I would rather do my work over and be better for it then keep all my cheater losses and play people below me. So stop complaining. Bungie this is the best thing you could have done thanks for making my day enjoyable!

hell ya totaly agree they should be reset...and its kinda funny the biggest complainers about not reseting seems to be the cheaters

I have already written about the stats being reset but it looks like I need to do it again.

Resetting the stats is horrible. The people saying "Hey its a fresh start" and "You'll get it back" and "My win record is messed up because of cheaters" are heartless, arrogant bastards. Like I said in my other message, I only care about my own hard earned, time consuming, cheated on freaking level. Ignore the people who say reset the stats. No one cares about your damn win record, and everyone should forget about the leaderboards. Leave them where they are, I really don't care. The "pro-reseters" just have a big ego.

I have more reason to hate cheaters than anyone, which is why I am satisfied enough with just being rid of them. I want to just forget about it and continue where I left off. Resetting the levels will give the cheaters the last laugh.

Resetting the levels doesn't benefit anyone anyways. You morons saying "Let's find out where I'd really be" are making a completely illogical statement. Here's why. First, the games you won didn't involve cheaters now did they? Second, you're REAL complaint is, "I'm not as high as I should be AT THIS MOMENT IN TIME!" Basically, all you've really lost is TIME. So, thinking logically for a second, you would realize that resetting would only ADD to the amount of time. Time I do not want to spend getting back what I already deserve. I'm willing to spend time bringing 2v2 up to my other levels (17) but that's because I have yet to earn my level in that playlist.

If you want to see you're real level, then you will continue on you're merry little way. If you reset the ranks, you'll be fighting people of all skill levels at level freaking 1! In a sense, you're new levels will be even more inaccurate and false than you're previous ones. Everyone will just start saying, "My win record is not as good because I had to fight good people at level 3!" You people will never be pleased. But you can do right by your true fans, Bungie, and keep the levels where they are. I will lose all love for the good people at Bungie if you reset the stats.

Personally, I like the idea of "hidden" levels, especially if the real goal is to match players of similar skill. Maybe you could make it so that you can only see your own level. (Fancy and everything.) That's the only level you should care about anyway.

Wow, I can't deal with everybody that is complaining about the stats being reset. "I worked so hard for my level 24?" Come on, seriously.

Does nobody realize that the ONLY thing that the level does is help XBox Live match you up with other level 24's or similarly skilled players??? That's it!

Yeah, you'll be playing really tough people the first day or two, but that will probably only be for a few days, IF that, because those people will quickly level up and be level 5's and 6's while you guys are level 1's and then you won't have to worry about it anymore. Heck, that might even happen the first day.

If you're so worried about losing a bunch to higher level's, then take my advice, and DON'T play for the first day that the stats are reset, and that might make it a little bit easier on the precious win-loss ratio that is oh so important for some of you guys :)

Ahhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!! My last post didn't go through, so now I have to summarize!

The cheaters have the last laugh if you reset the levels. No one gains anything by resetting. You will just lose even more time getting your ranks back up. Just mature a little and stop caring about the leaderboards and win records. Mine is messed up too, but if I want a fresh start I want it to be from my hard earned levels.(Mainly 17, so I spent time on this.) You'll find where you should be from where you are now faster than you would if you reset the ranks entirely.

Bungie, your true fans only care about their personal level, not being on leaderboards. I personally love the idea of "hiding" the levels. Make it so you can only see your own level. If the goal truly is to match people of similar skill to have fun, then you would do this. If the stats are reset, I will lose all faith in the good people at Bungie.

I don't see how it's illogical to think that you're not at the level you should be, especially since you LOSE experience (and thus levels) when you lose to cheaters. Some people have stopped playing matchmaking because they were tired of getting cheated on, and those people probably would have continued to play matchmaking and gain levels had the cheating problem not been so overarching. Now, with the cheaters gone for good, people will be able to play matchmaking with no fear of getting cheated on, and will continue to play matchmaking and find out where they actually rank skillwise.

Like I said before, if you're so upset about playing good players at level 1, then WAIT a day or two before you play again once the stats are reset. The good players will quickly win a few games and get up to level 5, 6, 7, while the rest of the players are at level 1, then everyone is happy.

Reseting the levels would be good. It will help more people see the true value of the game. And it might help clear out some of the f-ing standbying, bomb jamming, flag jumping, stat obsested bastards!

I don't really have a problem with stats being reset. People are complaining cuz of the work they did, and saying that matchmaking will be uneven for a while if we do reset. If you think it'll be uneven you're just stupid. I know plenty of people who have gotten new tags, myself included, and was easily at level 8 in 2 days. It would only take a week or 2 to get things back to normal, and even if level 20's get matched up with level 5's who cares. The level 5's will get stomped and their ranks will be where they belong, at the bottom.

After reading most of the posts Bungie is basically dammed if they do and dammed if they dont. People will be pissed off either way so why not a compromise

only reset levels of players who are inactive in any given game type for some pre-set amount of time be it 10 days or 30 days this would force the cheaters to have to play and thus there lvls would go down. This would also stop people from just sitting on there lvls once they get them...... just an idea .....

Quoted for emphasis. Bolded best points, ones I agreed with.

I just made this same point two pages ago. Take the time to click and read through this forum, Bungie people, and you'll see that most of the posts asking to reset them are basically "oMg reSET teh STATZ cauzz cheeetars sauck lololol. no srsly guyz!!one111oneeleven!!!!!!". Hmmm...

Bungie, for the most part I love Halo 2 (with a few minor problems). But I was curious if there would be any other types of new content such as new weapons
or weapon upgrades? Because I believe that the game is missing some key elements that made Halo 1 so good (PISTOL), but i was really hoping that you guys could fix the flashlight because im -blam!- sick of it shutting off randomly please let me know.

I'm not complaining about fighting good people if the stats reset. I'll kill them. Don't say "It will only take a week or two to get your levels back, even in the 20s!" Well, gee, maybe in one playlist. Even then you would have to not go to school or work. I have good stats all around (at LEAST 13) and I am proud of that. That took months, not days or weeks. And I didn't play matchmaking all the time. I enjoyed time playing with friends in custom games and training. If I had to get my levels back, I wouldn't have time for that. You have to think of the many people that worked for their ranks, and not just your own win record.

Once again, please Bungie, "hide" the levels. The player should only get to see his own rank. This will probably prevent another mass outbreak of cheaters, because I'm positive that their will be another one if the leaderboards and ranks still exist for others to see.

Now that I think about, resetting would be pointless for another REALLY BIG reason. Cheaters will most likely be back sooner or later. Some ass is going to find a way. And then everyone will want the stats reset again. My God.........I can see it now.

I was rollerblading at a park when i was like 6 years old and my babysitter was doing her homework. I crashed into her and the pencil she was holding went into my shin. Ten years later i still have a mark of where the pencil stuck me. I can't tell you if it's poisonous though, because I had not yet had children. I'll let you know when I find out. The story is true!!!
