Subject: If Bungie Released Halo: CE with XBL For $50 Would you buy it

if they did, no one would play halo 3 anymore.

Multiplayer Gameplay
Halo:CE------------------Reach--------Halo2-----------------H alo3
Campaign Experience
Reach----Halo:CE-----------------ODST-----Halo2---------Halo3

Glad that Halo 3 garbage is dead, thanks to Reach.
Unfreakenbelievable!!

To be completely honest, I would. I would fork out another $50 or so. I'm not sure how long I would continue to play it, though. It depends on how the MM was designed. To keep me playing, it would need little to no lag and all M6D Pistol starts.

There is only one logical explanation for this. HAX!

Internet Points: 4

dude.. i'd buy it for 1004 bucks.... halo 1 on pc is MONSTER!!!! halo 1 on xbox live would be CRAZA!!!!!

  • 02.21.2009 9:12 PM PDT

Just keep the Halo 2 & Halo 3 Matchmaking out of it. Use CoD Matchmaking or server lists.

I loved CE on the PC. It was like constant hours of pleasure, at least until I tried to stand up and my butt hurt. Anyway, I'd definitely fork out $50 to get it on Live. It'd just take it to a whole new level of play, provided none of the settings are tweaked.

Even though this has been beaten to death and has no chance of ever happening I'll go with it.

Hell yes I would in a heartbeat. You can't put a price on happiness and Halo:CE multiplayer=happiness.

Bungie is the best.

Simple as that.

Hmm if the graphics were polished for 360 and some new maps and XBL play then yes!

  • 02.23.2009 12:02 PM PDT

I know about $1000 worth of purchases that Bungie would get if it was released for $50 with xbl

  • 02.23.2009 1:18 PM PDT

YEAH I WOULD TOTALLY BUY IT!

  • 02.23.2009 5:53 PM PDT

If gameplay remained the same and there were no "title updates" to balance it out, I would easily pay upward of a few hundred for it. I am NOT JOKING in any way, I think it would be worth it to have a chance to play HCE again, especially online.

DK dazing

YES but with better graphics ill but it for 100

  • 02.24.2009 12:10 AM PDT

If the game remained untouched I would.

I'm gonna move to China, raise some chickens, make my money, and invest.
-------Awesome
I pray to black Jesus.

Yes.

Oh God let it happen.
Yes.

If it offered full XBL party systems with all the standard nuts and bolts.... I'd probably pay well over 100$

If I don't see you, good afternoon, good evening, and good nite.

I love the game as is. Do not touch it up and make it shiny like 2 and 3. Keep it gritty and wholesome. The graphics are not only fine, but fantastic.
Do whatever you have to to fix the net code to prevent lag, but make sure that the physics remain the same. You could chuck a grenade 70 yards. Fall damage and getting killed by vehicles makes you play smarter. So do health packs.
The problem is, I do not own Live and many people would expect updated and new material which is ironic in that those have already been created with Halo 2 and 3. If I had Live, I would certainly own Halo Combat Evolved and proceed to have no life.
Great idea, too much drama. Wouldn't please enough people in the right way since everyone will have an opinion on every minute detail. Issues would be the Pistol. Too strong, too weak, just right. People expect so much out of games. Leave it a classic. There comes a point when each additional brush stroke detracts from the picture.

I would marry Meredith Clinton for Halo: CE with XBL.

  • 02.24.2009 5:41 PM PDT

Call me Reach.

Yeah, probably.

I'd do it if it had upgraded graphics and a new engine for the campaign. Co-op in CE would be insane.

Suck it Red!

yes, definatly

Why are you even looking at my forum signature? Are you that bored?
Well, check this stuff out: Service Record , File Share , Career Stats

I would need a demo.

If it had updated graphics, online multiplayer, and a new game-type made just for Halo: CE, then yes, it would be well worth it. Of course, if they remade it they way you described it,

If then remade the game to work on the 360 with live (but keep the maps the guns and player movement the way they were) and named it Halo would you seriously spend 50 or 60 bucks to play it

~PowerJoe~

then I would still buy it.

It's Halo, man. I mean, seriously. You gotta love the classics.

  • 03.01.2009 11:41 AM PDT

It would be a dream come true. I wouldn't play Halo3 anymore.

I don't want to have to say it again, but I will.

That would be a new game. They would have to completely re-invent the code.

Pretty much, a lot of people seem to think that they can "cut and paste" various parts of games into others.....as said by a Bungie employee - " graphic designers get grumpy when you say that" - or something to that effect

Updating the graphics, net code etc is stripping Halo CE to the core and therefore you would have to change the entire way the game is coded and built....so chickenlittle is right, it would be like making a new game in terms of the design process and number of hours you would have to put into the game to develop it etc
