I really enjoyed it and was different then I expected. Instead of magic and a fairy tale land called Camelot in the middle ages it depicts what probably happened in true life. It is set in the dark ages where Rome (yes King Arthur is set in Roman times and dont worry there is no spoilers in my description) is strected to it's limits and a ledgendary fighting squad of a tribe that was so impressive that the Romans sparred them for there bravery and fighting ability and allowed them to fight for the Roman army. So here is this group of Knights stationed on the Hadrian's Wall fending off the Celtic army's to the north. So that's the basic plot and has some of the really sweet fight scenes. In my opinion the movie was sweet and I recommend this to history buffs looking for a action epic this summer.

Did you know that in real life, Arthur was the last Roman in England. He wasn't named anything close to Arthur. It was roman. But they said he fought like a bear- which in old english, roughly translates to Arthur. The gauls ( believe thats who they were- but they were from mainland Europe) invaded England, and the different cities fought amongst themselves instead of uniting against the common foe. This last Roman rich man had the charisma to unite the nation and push the foes out and back. This is the most accurate theory based on history.
It was on the history channel, which is by far- the best channel there is.

Me: "OMFG, Dude... wtf!"
AbolitionofMan: "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to betray you."
Me: "That's the 4th time in this game alone!"
Chris: "Third, besides he had the flag I was trying to stop him, how was I supposed to know you were there."
Me: "I said, 'I got the Flag, don't shoot.'"
Chris: "Well those Wraith shots take a while to reach you."
Me: "You were right next to me, I had killed him and a minute passed before you decided to shoot."
Chris: "Hahahahaha, yeah... that was great."

Good, but I was pissed off at the very first few minutes. Mainly cause of the horrible Historical inaccuracy. Roman Soldiers of that time looked NOTHING like what we see, they had no glorioud ornaments and such since most were barbarian concripsts, secondly by 452 A.D. Rome barely exsisted in the West. Briton had been ABANDONED by the Romans in the later 300's IIRC, Gaul at this time was controlled by the Franks, Hispania by the VisiGoths, N. Africa by the Vandals and the Danube Region along with Germania by the Huns... I mean come on. Rome is S H I T at this period. In 410 it was sacked by the Visigoths under Alaric I and it is sacked AGAIN in 455 by the Vandals. Hell in the year 452, Attila invades Italy but spares Rome because of the Pope meeting with him... though historians argue thier were other reasons. In 476, the Roman Empire in the West, (if want to call it that since it was merely just Rome itself), ceased to exsist. In the 450's the Anglo-Saxons DID invade Briton so that they were right about...the difference, the Saxons destroyed ALL Roman Culture that trived and instated thier own. Hence why now we refer to the English sometimes as the Anglo-Saxons. This movie is made by Hollywood so I guess I have to admit I should have seen this coming.
