Well, here I am again with another video question:
My FX5700LE works very nicely with respect to frame rate: I have all the goodies on and am in 800x600 or 1024x768 (forget which). Everything looks beautiful in campaign, and is nice and smooth. However, on the mp maps I am having problems with contrast. In darker areas of the map (like inside bases on Death Island, and trying to get up the paths to the sniper spots on the valley walls of BG) it is like I am in pitch dark. To get up the path to the sniper cave in BG, I have to follow the trail from base until it barely starts to climb; then I need to look way up and gauge my progress against the skyline of the valley walls.
Yes, I've done the obvious and tweaked the brightness and contrast of my 3 year old 17" monitor; but it helps very little. Again, I haven't noticed any problem on campaign. (On the PC, have only played to about "Flawless Cowboy." Still, I had no problems in the dark bowels of PoA.)
Any suggestions?
