I have a mac,
iMac G5 1.8 gig
1 gig of ram
GeForce FX 5200

Surprisingly, my comp will play campaign mode around 30 fps with everything high and on on 640x480, and most of the time even 800x600 on campaign, except on levels like truth, and keyes. On multiplayer, i can keep it up at 800x600 with everything else high except on levels like chill out, hang em high, and damnation.

And me15er, the only difference between playing with a 2 button mouse and playing without it is that you press "v" for grenades and "z" for zoom.

I'm 11, too.

I'm 17, but I built my first computer when I was 14. It had a Pentium 2 350MHz processor, 64 MB RAM, and a 3 GB HD, lol.

After I turned 16, I built the computer I have now (first page, towards the bottom is my post)

And, hopefully before I'm 18, I'm gonna build the computer in my signature.

Well the machine I am currently using doesn't have an agp slot and that one does so I was just wondering if I could get some more life out of it by getting a better card. I know right now that the 5200 is my bottleneck but I want to know what card will change that.

I find that particles is something that you should NEVER ever turn off, because otherwise you can't really see explosions that well. Decals come next, then textures, and so forth. I like to turn my sound on high variety and quality because somehow my comp can handle it (beats me how).

You can get a two button mouse with an apple computer, but I for one play with the standard 1 button one.

My controls setup is this-

Mouse- aiming
"the button"- crouch
q- strafe left
e- strafe right
w- forward
s- backward
a- turn left
d- turn right
r- reload
f- melee
g- grenade
v- jump
c- switch weapons
x- crouch (#2)
z- zoom

I find this setup quite nice, because I am left handed, and thus my reflexes on my left hand are quicker (its been proven. We did an experiment in high school biology, in which i was the only left hander, and the only person who's left hand was quicker).

Eugh, with all the stuff i've been hearing about the security crap on Service Pack 2, I'm glad I'm NOT a windows user. And I don't hate mac, in fact I love it, I just hate iMacs.

Don't forget, Arsenic is bad for you,

You use the keyboard to look? I use the mouse cause I find its easier but to each thier own eh? EH? WHERES YOUR PET BEAVER EH? Anyone have an answer to my earlier question?

I mentioned earlier in my post that I use the mouse to aim.

And as to the pet beaver, while that would be undeniably cool, I simply don't have the room or money.

Still, I'll look into getting one. It will be useful for getting revenge on my neighbor who just LOVES his trees...

Pet beaver...why do I have a feeling that it will end in wood shavings and holes all over the wood boards in your house? Why do I even suspect anything...hmm... :D

Beavers eat the bark of the trees not the wood that is used to make houses. A pet beaver would be soooooooo cool. Do you guys in the states get molson canadian beer commercials?

I use the mouse to turn as well.

If i had a beaver, and I was inclined to sell it, I would buy a new (mac) comp with the ATI Radeon X800 Special Edtition (*drools*). It maximises the efficiency of a macintosh...

Man I wish i had one o those...

Did you know that I was quoting one of those commercials? You know what one of my fantasies is? Building an OS that can run windows software yet isn't *&#$&%*@$#4(*^!%#@(*%4!!!! (<--- means insecure:) ) like windows.

Macs are awesome. If it were not for the disadvantage with software and such, I'd have one. The thing where they really stick it to pc is ram. Any program open and idling does not take up ram, unlike a pc where your limewire or BT doing nothing takes 128 megs.

I use Macs for Video Yearbook at my high school, definately much better for graphics and video.

You will have to post how the 5700 LE performs for me. I heard its not too good but I would like to see that proven wrong.

Heyyo,

Mine's in my sig, but incase I ever remove it n' someone's trolling this post?

AMD AthlonXP 3000+
MSI K7N2-Ultra Mobo
Sapphire Radeon 9800 PRO
Creative Soundblaster Audigy Gamer
Logitech MX1000 Laser Mouse
Generic Keyboard (WASD keys are worn out cause I'm pro, lol)
NZXT Guardian CompCase
17" CRT Monitor
Saitek P2500 gamepad

What I plan on doing is removing all the LED's that aren't red and making them red. So keyboard, monitor, comp case, comp fans.. the whole shabang. Once I'm done it'll be one mean looking pwning computer. ;)

btw, to see me and my comp in action at a lan party?

Go to the photo gallery, I'm the dude with the spiked hoodie. That's right, I'll be as badd-ass looking as my computer once I'm done with it. And check the scoring boards.. lol...
