Hey there, folks!

I've got a Toshiba laptop with the following configuration:

CPU: AMD Turion 64 X2 (TL-58)
RAM: 2 GB
Video: ATI Radeon X1200 (pixel shader 2.0 compatible)
OS: Windows Vista Home Premium SP1

With this computer is it possible to play Halo 1 and 2 decently? I have Halo 3 for Xbox 360 and would appreciate to play the other ones...

Thanks!

Hmm, you should be able to play Halo 1 PC no problem right thar. You can find the minimum specs for H1PC on this page.

As for Halo 2, I don't think so. I don't think your CPU is up to par. I don't know much about ATI video cards, but I did some Googling anyway, and it turns-out its direct Nvidia counter-part is the Nvidia GeForce 6100. I used to have an Nvidia GeForce 6200, and I could barely get the game to work on the lowest settings - it was just downright horrible. I'm also pretty sure that the absolute minimum required video card would coincidentally be the Nvidia GeForce 6200 as well... But you seem to be just below the absolute minimum, and your CPU would just be way, waaaay to slow.

In summary, you should be able to play Halo 1 PC with no problem (after all, that game can run on Windows 98 =D), but not Halo 2 Vista. Sowwy =\

Why does everyone hate Halo 2? Maybe its because its the worst game ever next to mario.

Yeah I have to agree. Halo 2 Vista might not be the best installment for that your laptop of yours.

Yeah, mate. Check out that link in my post to the product description. "Windows 98", right there.

I also don't see there is such a disparity between H1PC and H2V.. I mean, it all ran on the same platform....... (Hired Gun)....

Thanks for the advice, guys!

Do some people still play H1PC online? As it seems, unfortunately, I won't be able to play H2V on my laptop... It's strange, because on H2V's official site they inform that the minimum windows experience index for the video card in order to play this game is 3,0, and this is the index for my laptop video card... Maybe it will run but poorly..

Is there any demo of H2V?

H1PC has one of the most active gaming communities I've ever seen. It is quite lively, actually--you'll always find a game to play in.

Sadly, there is no H2V demo =\

Yeah, it is pretty crazy. Halo 2 Vista has a very small population of players and you can recognize some of the names regularly. H2V's main popular severs are CTF on Coag. I pretty much have to start up a Rumble Pit and invite if I want any Slayer action. Heavy Weapons are pretty popular too, I have no idea why. You get around 30-50 players floating around the Halo 2 Vista servers on a GOOD day.
