I have no idea if this really belongs here, but here it goes: Was that pictures (the Master Chief one) a screenshot, or a drawing or painting or something? I really liked it, and was wondering who made it and if there's any possibility of getting a larger one.

Oh yeah! Congratulations on the job, Rob!

My Bungie interview was the longest I’ve ever had. It lasted about 9 hours, and was extremely thorough. What? 9 hours... Were the interviewers also testing your stamina and to see how well you can think under strenuous pressure? That is definitely a thorough interview and being Bungie, they only want the best.

I would like to know; did the interview scenery change at all? Or was the entire process conducted in one room without a bathroom break?

My Best Bungie moment: finally beating all the Halo games on solo legendary.
My Worst Bungie moment: not seeing giant stuffie grunts in the Bungie store.

I want to be a level designer. Though I am more interested in creating the actual map (geometry, crates, etc.) and making it fun and competitive. That job is separate from an environment artist right? Because I would be terrible at making stuff look good.

Thats some Great information. This information should be usefull.
I have one question though. This seems like a small cover up for what might be a information drought. So for that intervew to be 9 Hole hours they must have put you at a desk or computer and given you some problems to work out as a test.None the less a good interesting chunk of info.

oo I almost forgot. As a map builder you must bring balence, art, playibility and stop us from escaping the map that must be a real chalenge. Do you take it opon yourself to make it as difficult as posible to escape the confines of a map because you do a very good job and still make the maps fun to play and good to look at with the help of your co-workers.

Is mr sark ever going to have another sarkathalon

  • 01.15.2009 6:39 PM PDT

If you look at this stuff....go to a park or something else active

NIne hours? They must have found out everything about you! Like your shoe size, your mad Halo skills and knowledge, whether you can sing, and escape from hundreds of mini-spartans attacking you!

What's a Sarkathalon? Never heard of it... And who is this Mr. Sark?

And please, don't make areas unusable on the missions like they've done with the multiplayer maps! Like in Avalanche, there's tons of little spaces that you should be able to get into, but there's a little barrier blocking it, and it's happening more and more often with the maps. Pretty much the only thing I dislike very very much in H3. Please don't do it for missions in whatever game comes next!

Still... Nine hours! That's like forever and a day! A very long time, but at least Bungie's making sure they're employees are the best of the best!
