Ok since almost all of the topics here lately have been involving the story i figured I'd start one on gameplay. Personally I felt the gameplay in the original multiplayer was slow and a lot of the time boring. I know that if in Halo 2 or at least one that MAY come out later(because I doubt there is enough time to be making changes to the physics) were to have strafe jumping ,as its called in quake 3 or bunny-hopping from painkiller whichever you prefer, the gameplay experience would be off the charts. There have been no console games to use this great feature so why not put it into the king of innovations for console shooters, that being Halo of course. It would not be hard to put in in my opinion. All that would have to change is make jumping pressure sensitive, so that you can get more successive jumps in over a short period of time by lightly tapping instead of pressign the button the whole way in. This would also help with dodging in general. I know that on PC shooters i always have right click as jump so i can use strafe jumping with more accuracy. Now this feature would not have to be in single player seeing as the MC would not be constantly jumping aorund all the time being shot at. But it should be an option to be turned on or off during Multiplayer. If you can turn it off then all the people that like to sneak would not have to worry about the extreme differences in pace caused by this addition. Anyway if you could put this feature in an upcoming console shooter i know that would make all of my friends and I that played Quake very happy. Of course Bungie will never read this but hell thought i'd give it a try. :)
