I think it would be a good feature if there was a way to implement replays in multiplayer matches. Something that always kept like the last 30 seconds of the battle recorded and able to be saved at anytime via start menu. I know ive had some great multiplayer moments that i would like stored for braggin rights like firing a rocket across hang'em high at an unsuspecting victim all the way on the other side of the map, oblivious as to what is about to happen to them, If it is possible i think it should be a 3rd party perspective like a sky cam that would show it in a otherwise never before seen point of view. Anyways just an idea...

Well.. its a good idea but there are some cons to it...

1. "INSTANT" Replay = Like in Super Smash Brothers Melee... when your noobish friends pause every 2 secconds to do the replay pause view character things... it should only be done at the end of the game.

2. The problem is it would be multiplayer replays... meaning on live... which would be a distraction at the end of games to start a new one.. same with MP with your friends...

3. We have fraps for PC and programs for the television to film if you really wanted to.

Well Steel Battalion: Line of Contact has a nice replay system, although it needs some more options. Basically you are given the option at the end of the match to save it and to view the replay at a later, more convienient time. Something like that would probably work out better than what has already been described.

All you need to do is run your Xbox through a VCR/computer/ HDD Recorder whatever and you can have hours of instant replay

I think that IF there was to be an "instant Replay" function it would be wise to implement it this way: at the end of a match there would a a "save replay" function, and if you had a good moment in the game, then you save it. After you're done playing on the server, you can go back to your Halo 2 menu, and use some sort of "Replay Editor" option where you could cut all the unimportant parts and select different points of view, etc, etc.

I guess its a ok feature but it would waste precious hardrive space on my x-box which would be better used on halo 2 downloadable content
and i've got super smash bros melee and never really used it on that. suppose little novelty features like replay has its uses i guess. best example i've got of it is mario golf where it can save your best shots :) (yes i do like mario games)

its a good idea like when u do awesome double kills with the energy sword or something. but it would take up too much memory but its a good option to have

it would take up a lot of memory but like if i just sniped my friend out of a ghost with one shot i want to see that again so i dont see why not have the option back to the memory after you make the video the way you want it on the replay editor save it to a vhs or beter yet a dvd but also i don't know about yall but i have a lot of stuff saved on my xbox's memory includeing at least 3 cds and i still have 50,000 plus mem so it might not be a problem

The Master Chief emerged from his code. After seeing his dynamically lit realtime shadow, he went back for 9 more months of development.

Behold the power of the Originals, the Gods Axeone-Neurone.

The Xbox allows the user 312,500 blocks of memory for their usage.
187,500 are locked to be used for XBL and Dashboard mandatory upgrades.

A cd only uses 3,000 blocks. (Compresses it to MP3)

That leaves plenty of space for replays.

Well it would be nice because you never have time to think how the hell you got shot or how he killed me so in a replay you can see how that opponent attack and how you can kill him and in Driv3r youv can see the replay and customize it its my favorite feature becase the game was really a disapointment

I would love a replay. Sometimes you will do something so awesome or someone has something awesome done to you. Plus, you could point out those a-holes spawn camping with a rocket launcher and a sniper rifle, and just not go on servers with those kinda people.

One advantage is that you could fined out were snipers and other campers are.
I offten do that its very funny when you shoot them at point-blank in the head. Its very ego busting for hardcore gamers like myself
