This is more addressed to the developers of Halo2, but any and all are welcome to voice their support for, or denounce, this idea.

I realize that no PC version of Halo2 has officially been announced yet, but I would really like to see the ability of Xbox and PC users to participate in the SAME multiplayer games together. I think this would be a huge jump over the competition and spawn even more interest in Halo2. Since the PC version ends up being a port of the Xbox version, and since the Xbox is practically a PC anyways, I see no reason for this not to be feasible.

Personally, I am a computer user who has no intent to buy an Xbox or Halo/Halo2. However, I would certainly buy a copy of Halo 2 if it incorporated this new multiplayer ability, just to be able to play it with my XBox-owning friends.

I don't see this idea hurting sales of the Xbox or Halo 2 at all, only helping. If necessary, delay the PC version release date, require that games can only be hosted on Xbox hardware, etc... Whatever it takes to make this idea work should be considered.

Merging the world of XBox and PC would be a phenomenal leap. I would love to see a Halo Party combine with a Lan Party.

I disagree, it could give PC users too big of an advantage. For one, they could have superior hardware, thus faster framerates. They could have a faster ethernet card, and a million other things. It would make the playing field uneven. The thing I love about xbox live so much is that everyone HAS the same equipment and a decent connection. So the only determinant in how good a player is is the connection and their own skill with dealing with it.

Trying to allow PC users and Xbox live users to play would ruin the feel of the game completely.

NO -blam!- IT i play with joypads and they use mouses and keyboards... there are too many differences to explain... i really don't agree... halo 2 on xbox must be a world apart not linked to the pc one.
