of corse. it's called being "in the zone." it's when your adreline reaches a certian level so that after like 15 mins of suck, for 5 minutes you start headshoting everyone, and noone can possibly stop you. then you die, and sometimes you can stay in the zone, sometimes you can't. i notice that in halo, i'm in the zone for much shorter periods of time than in games like CS:S and COD. there my adreline can stay at it's peak for 10-15 minutes. in halo, i only get my 5 minutes of fame...

Halo can be a real competitive game at times. Although adrenaline doesn't do anything in Halo 2 like it would for an athlete it's still a good feeling : )

I disagree, adrenaline basically acelerates your brain so that will help you play.

You're definetely not crazy, i get adrenaline rushes playing lots of computer games!! Like when its 2 to 2 flags in blood gultch ctf and i run out the back of there base w/ flag and my ally pulls up in hogs and nades are flying left and right i basically am holding my breath the whole way to our base. You can get rushes doing anything, not just sports! This can happen whenever your doing soemthing that stimultes excitiment, although the adrenaline does help you in physical activities it can also help in "non-physical activities" like video games, just like Iamwhie said.

for me especially in oddball games i go crazy when i'm near the ball. Like i was at my friend's house just a while ago and we were playing Halo 2 odball and i was going crazy..ESPECIALLY though when u either have something important to u that u want to keep (i.e bomb, skull, flag, spree, etc.) when you're not doing very good then ur mind doesn't feel the need to pay more attention. It's a spree thing, like in basketball when you're "on fire", once u start doing good and you're winning your mind will kick into overdrive to help u out, most sports are like 50% physical and the other half is defenitely emotional, if u don't have that confidence then you're not going to win no matter how skilled/strong u are. Adrenaline, it's true, affects your mind & your body, but it really is interesting to see that gaming, a really "non-physical" "sport" is improved upon by adrenaline. errr, on the other hand one could argue that by getting so hyped up and excited then u will lose focus and die, there's always a positive & a negative.

I don’t get a rush as much as I use to, I’m usually calm until there are 16 people there, I run of with the flag and every one is shooting at me, hogs flying over head, I find that when I get that rush I will do something stupid, I get jumpy and my aim goes down, unless its an indoor level. But I still like to get it! It’s like how I feel when the nabob’s doges get out......... only with out the running.

Yeah, I get adrenaline in the beginning of the match, the end, and when I'm closing in on, or in a close race for 1st. Just ask any of the people on the servers I'm on. I pwn in the beginning, get pwned in the middle, and pwn at the end. Its just kinda my natural cycle.

And my roomy wonders why i LOVE halo...

surprisingly, I get an adrenaline rush from the RTS Starcraft. Don't ask me how though. I just kinda... feel the game, and all my troops.

Anyway, Yeah...

Yout3

Ya, I find that I lose my aim and get jumpy too. So when I'm calm I am better. I also have had this stupid cold for the last month and a half. Its clouding my head. I can't wait for it to go away. Sometimes it seems like I'm detached from myself if ya know what I mean. You're playing yet you're not completely focused. Waayyyyyyyyy off topic there. Actually, not that off.
