Alright. I guess I'm what most people would consider an obsesed Egg hunter. I've spent hours on end staring at a tiny thing missplaced, seeing how it's significance could lead to another egg similar to the Megg.

For the longest time I've been trying to figure out if ((or not)) Mendoza on top of 343 has anything that will lead to the discovery of a new egg. The moderator of HBO once stated that he thinks that the Friendly markers on the radar had something to do with mendoza. I think he's wrong, because in my efforts to find out what this is all about I've found that these green markers are actually the flood. If you look in between the two brances of the fallen tree right after the crashed covenant ship in 343 GS, you will see the first flood. It's a covenant. It will turn and run off. As soon as you get past the tree, look up into the hills and you should see two flood running off. These are the last visiable Flood in the level before they actually start. and all three of them appear on your radar as they would as marines. I recently used the trick to get the pelican ontop of 343, and my firend went along the ground while I walked across the top. He waited while I went to the point where the flood run up the hill, and then had him go ahead. When the flood appeared and started running, I mowed them down, but they suddenly were upright again and dissapeared...

Please, If you have any info on wheather or not Mendoza and the top of 343 are linked to an egg, post it here, so we can finally put this mystery to rest...

Not to ruin your fun or anything, but the marine on top of 343 GS (Mendoza) is actually an accident. He's really not supposed to be there.
The details of his being left there are in the Sybex Official Halo Strategy Guide, which you can probably locate and leaf through to find the info in at your local bookstore or library.

Another 343 GS trick: get on top of the level via the Pelican, run to the spot where you enter the facility, drop down quickly and, if you're quick enough, you'll see the aliens spawn and run from guns that are shooting at them--and no one's firing the guns!

Have you checked out the eggs list over at halo.bungie.org?

Yeah, I've seen both of those before. But the point of this thread wasn't to prove there was an egg, it was to prove if there is not or is an egg, so you didn't ruin anything. Actually, you supported it :)

Also, on the back of the Marine's uniforms, it says END or LEND or LEMP. if this stands for anything, tell me.
