My xbox controllers keep on getting tangled up, both the Dukes and the S'es. Anyway that I can straighten them out using some secret ancient mysterious gamer method? Everytime I unravel the wire its like, all folded up on itself and is way way way too bumpy.

Untangle them, just a thought.

no no you misunderstood me. I mean I unravel them, untangle them, and they still fold up onto each other n stuff. No knots or anything just really messed up wire.

Jay suggests untwisting them so as to not need to untangle them as often. To untwist, let the controller hang and spin 'till the cord's strait. Jay only has tangle problems with twisted cords.

The controller wire's been spun around too many times.

It was a cold day near the southern base in Blood Gulch. Cortana and I were relaxing over a game of Go Fish, WHEN OUT OF NO WHERE 700 BANSHEES CAME FLYING IN!!! I GRABED MY SPARTAN LASER AND LET HELL REIGN DOWN UPON THEM. I HOPPED IN THE NEAREST WARTHOG AND TOLD CORTANA TO GET IN.

ok. Pick a wire and follow it. Now get that wire out of the bunch of other wires. If you mean preventing it, simply grab the end of the cord for ur controller and hold it high up, up above you ead. Now wait a minute or two untill the wire straightens out. They get twisted, then form into knots and tangles.

My thumbsticks will be your Doom.... sorry 'bout that.
My Stats

i think i know what you're going thru. I have a particular S-type cord that is always twisted. like internally, within it's rubber sleeve. There's nothing you can do about this... I've tried hanging it outside my balcony for hours, twisting it in both directions, winding it around the Warthog's bumper winch... Everything! My other controller cords are fine, smooth and easlily de-twistable but that one S-type is... how can I put it....Aaarrghhh (read as always twisted).

There are a couple tricks and they are pretty simple, lots of people have said it but hold them up and let the controler unspin. A good one is just put them away when your done and the next time you come back they wont be a mess! good luck!

As long as the cord's such that it doesn't try to twist, it should be good even if the cord inside looks twisted. The knotty kinky behaviour is due to the cord trying to "untwist". It doesn't matter if it's braided.
