Hello Bungie

Is there any plans of releasing a new patch for Halo 2 Vista?

I recommend a patch is needed to make the Halo 2 multiplayer experience more enjoyable, not matchmaking, just some noticeable bugs like the random spartan twitch while in a vehicle and the joining game lag for example.

More and more PC users are now switching to Vista and later on, Windows 7. The first game Halo fans would buy, when updated, is Halo 2 Vista, which is now quite cheap in stores. More players will switch from Halo CE PC to Halo Vista over time.

So please think about it.

As far as I know there are no plans for a patch to be released.

Wish Halo 3 PC would come out sooner... :(

I recommend a patch for Online Co-op and the LAG.
Support for Halo 2 Vista has been officially dropped. :(

what's the point, I guess I'll wait for Halo 3 PC. :|

This is actually the stupidest thing ever posted on B.net:

Why does everyone hate Halo 2? Maybe its because its the worst game ever next to mario.

Versel, you make a great point. There will be another patch for Halo 2 Vista in the future, I promise.

Lol maybe Hired Gun looked at H2V and just said "F*** It. Just let it ride out."

XD

Micro$uck needs to patch the lag that everyone gets, and this other issue i keep getting when i shoot people

other than that, i dont think they should bring more content... seeing as all of the players are doing that (including me partly) but they should patch it, because h2v has been buggy lately and Hired gun won't do SH-- about it.

in the end though they need to just patch problem areas (the lag, random stuff, etc)

The mouse aiming is absolutely horrendous, Halo pc was much better in the mouse department, the hit detection needs to be fixed too.

I would love to have a new patch for the game. There are lots of things they could fix.

Hello, thx for voting in this thead. I'm hoping if more people to post, Bungie will hear our crys. So please spread the word about this post to more Halo2 vista players.

I think it wound be good, if we can show what the problems are. Post videos of the bug, problem or note what you've experienced. This will help very much.

Gaming Systems:
Intel Core i7 720QM (4 cores, 8 threads)
4Gb DDR3-1333mhz
1Gb AMD Radeon HD 4650
Windows 7 64bit

Xbox 360 w/ 20Gb HDD (2008 edition) & XBL Gold.

I have voted yes, and post creator i responded on H2V's official forum for you.

I'll say again here:

Well unfortunately posting on Bungie.net won't help you anyway, the game was ported to the PC by Microsoft Game Studios, specifically by a temporary development studio called Hired Gun. Bungie was only involved a few times in the making of the port, in regards to achievement placing i believe. After releasing the first patch, which added screen resolutions and fixed a few multiplayer issues and general bugs, Hired Gun were dissolved and were since redistributed into other projects in Oct 2007. The state of H2V isn't really bad enough to warrant anyone getting together and further debugging it. Multiplayer tends to work fine, and SP has only a few namable bugs. The engine is reasonably optimised, and the game isn't very demanding anyway.

Sorry to say that i just don't see this happening :/

Hired Gun was just a PR friendly name for a few people who as far as I know already worked within Microsoft and still do.

They weren't some game development studio or anything of the sort.

Bungie has nothing to do with Halo 2 Vista (don't give me that "but they made Halo 2!" crap. Of course they did), so chances are nothing's gonna happen.
