While we know the site doesn't work at full capacity in Firefox, that is caused by a bug in Firefox, and the newest Hotness made the forums pretty slow for some reason. But your poll is rather off-topic, I'd try the Flood for something like this.

It is unfortunate that the site doesn't load well on Firefox, but that's the way the site is designed. I also use Firefox as my default browers, but when I browse Bungie.net I hop on IE and use that. It works for me, and since you probably have internet explorer on your computer anyways (if you're using windows), it's not that hard of a switch to make.

Actually I use Firefox and its just as fast as IE for me. Bungie.net runs and loads perfectly on Firefox for me. I dont get what everyone comlains about, it all works fine on my PC.

yeah firefox is better than IE, i am using it right now, no issues.
it could just be your version, they released an update for it, either that or your connections suck, or, it might be that this is a Microsoft website, and IE was designed by Microsoft, and firefox wasnt

I use fire fox, just started recently, and the site loads fine(sometimes better than IE), but im at my house with dialup now(not the one with live obviously), and once the site is in my cache it loads the same if not better than IE on dialup, so quit your complaining

who cares about chars left, thats retarded, nobody needs that.
fire fox may still have some bugs but it is small and streamlined

I use firefox religiously, and I'll reiterate that firefox does not like bungie.net.

Although, what i bring to the table is some web design experience. For some weird reason, some installations of firefox don't like floating or scrolling layers, and bungie.net uses floating layers for this site (the navbars at the top and bottom of the page) that reposition themselves according to the user's position on the page (if you look at the source code you'll know what i'm talking about). The result is that scrolling in the fox on this site (and sites that have scrollable layers) is extremely choppy. If anybody's found a way to assign the fox more virtual ram or some other fix to make this less choppy, to jog firefox's rendering, let me know.

it is bad detection of your graphics card, an upgrade will help because both IE and Firefox scroll slowly for me on bungie.net but no other website, probably because it is microsoft associated and they want people to think firefox is somehow inferior (which is completely the opposite, IE is inferior to FF)

Yeah, I have the newest version of firefox and my graphics drivers (fx 5900xt), so it's not really that. Maybe there's a way to mod the firefox INI files...

When my friend uses fire fox on his desktop PC, it works fine. But go onto his laptop, with the same version, and it runs like crap. Sometimes on IE it runs good, but it usually isnt all that great. Its getting where its a pain to view this site with anything for me. (that wasnt a complaint, just a fact)

Go to "View>Style" and select "No Style". It's not as pretty, but it's much faster. Other thing too, you'll have to switch back to post.

Perhaps not, but... but... the psychological damage in flicted by IE is massive!

Rightclick+open new window < Middle click/new tab

And then the thing crashes every five bloody minutes!

And there was some option or another I enabled... smooth scroll or something... that made the scroll speed for this site reasonable, and almost completely eliminates the tearing...
