OMGZ 1ST POST!111111111111111111

Well, the major event for me was my joining this site.

It's been a great year, and the new system has really coped well; over two million posts and nearly half as many users.

Long live Bnet.

Chairleg Productions presents: 'Console Wars' and 'Games as Art?' (also on Halo Waypoint).

Wow. I missed the time before up-date, but what it's brought me is beyond belief. I spend loads of time here because of this wonderful set-up you've got here. Three cheers for Bungie!

me making sure that Lone ranger got banned.
Lone ranger making insulting threads about me.
Mombasians calling Septagoners a bunch of elites and butkissers.
Millions and millions of posts filled with spam and flames.
me being a possible nominee for the modhood.
The new 7th column and Cfounders IRC channel, the death of Soffish.chat.
Shishka becoming a Bungie employee.
The release of Halo 2.
Dozens of sleepness nights.
The dozens of bugs in the new B.net.

Ah yes, it was a wonderfull year.

Best memory? Finally joining this site after months and months of lurking then abandoning my first two ID's because of getting new gamertags. I have B.net to thank for being well on my way to being fired, unemployed, probably divorced after that, white pasty skin, flabby gut, declining vision, malnutrition, etc. Man, I love you guys!

That year went by pretty fast to me. I wasn't too concerned about the release of Halo 2, which is probably the reason it went by so fast.

Here's to another year of helping people out, while making fun of them of course.

Made a new account, and consistently came to post almost every day. I watched people come, and I watched them as they continually bit the dust. Then they came back in the reincarnated form of Elvis.

I hate everything, but it's not my fault.

Happy Birthday. Thanks to the new site, I have learned the tru7h, witnessed the decline of the forums, seen people come and go, and have spent hours of my life here. Keep the good times coming Bungie! Here's to the future! May the forums someday acheive salvation.

The best memories for me would have to be August 24th 04, and April 1st 05. Boy, they were the days. But ofcourse, the only thing that could top them would be the release of halo 2.

Happy birthday, new Hotness! It's been a blast. Where does the time go?

-- Steve makes the sudden realisation that he's been here (off and on) for almost a year. Yikes.

I must say, for as long as i've been here, I can't remember a day that i haven't signed onto B.net...Whenever I'm on the computer no one has to ask what i'm doing..or what site i'm on...They all know. I am an addict. I see no end to this addiction..and I couldn't be happier.

So much intelligence that it makes me want to hurl.

I became a public forums mod this recent year. Wewt.

Actually... I started using Bungie.net again after taking a lot of time off from it. Funny what huge game releases will do.

Gah! just remembered something awefull, two awefull things actually:
A few dozen posts in the Septagon, in wich i replied that those topics belonged in the septagon. And dozens of topics in New mombasa, in wich i replied with "this topic belongs in New Mombasa". Damn you stosh for moving all those topics!

And more blaming on stosh: Blacklisting me from Chapter Founders, just because he wasn't paying attention! yeah, i'm bad.

  • 04.15.2005 6:31 AM PDT

Ooh! Ooh! Just remembered - the first thing I did after being modified was to make the first Mafia thread in The Flood, since I could sticky it. Yeah. Sad. A lot of people made comments like:

What sort of D'rat'er would sticky their own thread?! What a looser lol

Oh, and my first post on the new hotness. I posted about how everyone's member ID had dropped by an order of magnitude due to the disappearance of inactive chumps.

Oh, and I think I may have got the last post ever on the oldness. I think. All I remember is posting and then seeing "Bungie.net is temporarily down. Come back later" or whatever. I promptly posted the news at the HBO forum, and was subsequently ignored. This always seems to happen whenever I post at HBO.
