A combination of the second and third option; I made a post about the third in another thread...

Vote other.

Hey, Mr. Announcer!!! How about letting us know when we get a slap kill from behind. I think it would be great if he would say something, like "OOOOH!!!" or anything really.

right now its a really good system, most epople dont ralise that not only is the damage area specific, its also increased by factors depending on what youre doing at the time, so to do the most damage you should have taken a running jump from above be facing downwards and hitting the back of their head. The only glitch in this sytem is hitting somone in the right shin, which will kill them instantly, for some strange reason. I think the decision to make the back a one hit kill is a good one, because of the strength of the SPARTANs, they have the strength to turn over a tank if needs be, so a blow to the back would snap your spinal cord.

Yes, I hate having to say OOOH instead of the guy in the game saying it. Screw you announcer man, and your non-acknowledgement for those that randomly hit people in the back.

I say limit the area to the back and head. The kill in the shin is funny but not realistic, dag gum the flaw.
