I just wanted to ask others for their opinions, but I'm planning to buy Halo for the PC. (No, I'm no newb in case you try to dog me).
I have HALO for xbox (I bought Halo the day it came out, if you're wondering). The other day I noticed in a store little adapters that would allow an XBox controller to be hooked up to the PC. I think its totally legit, because it comes with drivers for the program and allows you to map controls to buttons. They say that it works for Halo. I dunno though. Any ideas or advice?

I think using the keyboard/mouse combo is somewhat better to the controller. The mouse lets you have much more steadiness in aim and isn't too flimsy like the controller. Although it might be more relaxing, i'd stick with the mouse and keyboard, you'd learn it pretty quick if u don't play many FPS on PC. Unless you have something against mouses/keyboards or your just alot better with the controller.

If you want to play with the controller, just play the game on the Xbox instead. Simple.

I've got an adapter to hook up my Xbox controller to my PC (don't know if it is the same one you are seeing at the store though) and I totally love it. I've taken others' advice and gotten used to the keyboard/mouse combo and it doesn't seem to do any better than the controller. In short, it is all about personal preference...so anyone who tells you that the keyboard/mouse combo is better than a controller is telling you their preference. Remember, your preference may not be the same as someone elses. You may get the adapter and decide you like the mouse/keyboard...or you may do as I did and use the controller. I'd just recommend that you give the keyboard/mouse a chance...just in case you are one of the individuals who may end up liking it better.

Thanks for the advice. I think I will probably buy the adapter and try out both control types and see which one I like.
