Subject: Mjolinir Enhancements?

When a cat is dropped, it always lands on its feet, and when toast is dropped, it always lands buttered side down. Therefore, if a slice of toast is strapped to a cat's back, buttered side up, and the animal is then dropped, the two opposing forces will cause it to hover, spinning inches above the ground. If enough toast-laden felines were used, they could form the basis of a high-speed monorail system.

In First Strike, when the spartans are outfitted with the new Mjolinir Armor, it says that the new pieces enhance thier armor in one way or another. I was wondering on whether anyone thinks this might be incorperated into Halo 2?

They weren't outfitted in "new" armour. Spartans can modify and repair their armour to a limited degree in the field. These were new components, prototypes if you will, that were about to be field tested.

This seems to be blunt foreshadowing for the Mjolnir Mark VI that the Spartan III's are probably going to be using.

Well, in First Strike, they get the Mjolnir Mark VI and they are field testing it. I agree with that. However, when they put the armor on certain pieces enchance the whole suit. Like double shielding, or improved motion traking.

i thought they found new armour, someone told them to get a box or something... (i havent read the books, but have heard about it many times).. and that box contained new MJOLNIR 6 armour too?

Anyway, cheif can jump higher, and has an inbuild scope in his visor now!

Dr. Hasley told them to get the boxes. And the boxes did contain Mjolnir Mark VI armor along with the magnum pistols and battle rifles.

Well they are prototypes which all Spartans will recieve after getting Mark VI. Just at that moment they are each only testing one component at a time.

If you're going to cite a source, do it properly. There is no Mark VI armour in First Strike.

pg. 140 "She had installed the new MJOLNIR parts in their existing armor. These upgrades were in field testing and not certified."

Thanks for the tip, and sorry 'bout the mis-sourcing.

It's not your fault. All it takes is one person to claim something is gospel fact and it begins to spread. It's the same thing I've found with many parts of the Halo universe. It's amazing how many people think the Halos were designed to take on the flood yet there's no evidence of that at all. I've searched and searched.

Mind you, I didn't read the second book. Nylund, to me, is barely legible and they said the guy who wrote "The Flood" was even worse. If there's someting in there I don't know about it.
