I kinda like the tracer..I mean its great for sniping those people that think there the best...running with your flag...just tap em in the back of the head.

But then when your up agaisnt more than 1 person it gets kinda difficult cuz you have to take out everyone before they realize it

No Silencers!
Halo dosent need silencers I mean havent you ever been sniped by the AR you dont hear it
same with almost any gun you cant hear them from far away..Its not a good idea...

I would hope if they made a silenced gun then it would be a close range weapon like the smg or a pistol (perhaps a new version, not the super accurate pistol we all know and love), even though it would be far more useful on a different weapon. This would keep things balanced a bit more.

It should be like in counter-strike where you press a button to screw the silencer onto the end of the pistol, and then toggle it on and off.

Ya, that could work, and to make the poeple who hate silencers happy, you could just turn them of in options. To balance, the weapon could be weaker.

I was wondering about that too... the D-Pad isn't being used, and I believe they will also use the D-Pad to sprint and so forth.

Actually, holding the A button to me would make for sense for sprinting.

well i figure its normal layout so far but D-pad up = sprint, D-pad down is prone, D-pad left = lean left, D-pad right = lean right

But with the sprint, it would be hard to press up on the thumbstick and press up on the D-Pad at the same time, and if sprint works how I want it to, you will have to start running, hit the sprint button, and when you pause/ go slower then it returns to firing mode.

Note: By pause I dont mean hit the start button, I mean stop running or holding up the thumbstick.

well im just thinking you press it he puts away his gun and runs and you dont have to push the T-stick

Ya, that would work too, or it could be you press up on the D-Pad, he lowers his gun, and you can start sprinting, but when you stop moving again, he raises his gun.

you could make up crouch and toggle it so all you have to do is press it once and he stay down and then make pressing the T-stick sprint and foward

They are not going to use the d-pad for sprinting. It was explained that if you run at full speed for a certain length of time with the analog stick, he lowers his gun and runs faster. So, unless you are really wierd and used the d-pad instead of the stick in H1, the d-pad will be left open for other controls. (silencer, prone, lean, etc...)

What if you accidentally start sprinting, I still like the hold A idea... but then you may accidentally start sprinting if you want to jump, how I see it is if they make it so you must be running full speed, then it would work - the best. That is my opinion any way. I don't know about anyone else but I'd like to have a choice to start sprinting, that 1/2 second it takes to raise your weapon could get you killed.

wtf is with people and the "Make it an option" -blam!-?! It's damned annoying. You can't make every flippin feature in the game a gd option it's either there or it isn't, because the creators of the game have to design the maps around the features and they can't take 100+ options into mind when making a map. People think vehicle destruction should be an option but every map would be designed aroun the fact that they are, and would make maps extremely unbalanced if they weren't.

And no silencers. You shouldn't even need them. The only people that would are people who couldn't live through a firefight.

this is the point of the board to express your opinion i like to use my 1st amend right to the fullest while still possible

I'll be on my own side.

no silenced pistol. if youre in a situation where you have to resort to using a pistol, chances are that stealth is unimportant.

but a silenced sniper would be cool. i cant count how many times i played the very first part of the Truth and Reconciliation and wished for a sliencer on my sniper

You wouldn't whip out your silenced pistol as a last resort, you use it to pick off a few grunts or jackals before they realize you're there.

Maybe on some guns there will be a option where you can like screw on a silencer.
