I don't really care about reading about the happenings in teh game but I am interested in learning back history or Spartans/The War.Which is the best novel for this?
The Fall of reach I'm on and i've read the rest, and fall of reach is the best overall especially in the spartan history and the war.[Edited on 4/23/2004 8:27:43 AM]
First Strike because it is between halo and halo2. But if I had to choose what had more action in it I would say FOR
Iordered all 3.
_____________________________spoiler_________________________ ___ _______personally i prefer First Strike simply because of sheer action during the attack on Unyielding Hermophaunt (a huge covenant travelling mega-station sent to destroy Earth) and because of its storyline fillers, and because Sarge is a main character[Edited on 4/23/2004 9:46:36 AM]
My favorite is still Fall of Reach. All of the backstory and insight into the events leading up to Halo is awesome. All three are good books, but that's my favorite.
the question wasnt, which is your favorite book, it was which is best for history of spartans and the war, and the answer to that is fall of reach[Edited on 4/23/2004 10:01:46 AM]
bah
The Fall of Reach is the best novel for the back-story. First Strike includes a few things about then the Spartans were kids, but doesn't really help to clear anything up. You absolutely must read First Strike though. It is excellently written and will reading it will most likely enhance your Halo 2 playing experience. It won't be necessary, however, to understand the story.
it would be FALL OF REACH because thats the book that begins MASTER CHIEFS fight against those COVIE BASTARDS, and it talks about there training and i think in THE FLOOD they mention some of the training and what not they did. so in other words FALL OF REACH
First Strike, definitely.
