I dont believe it damn Microsoft. 2 full extra days!! And also read bottom of this article
This one
It says there are "Game replays" Is this official cause if it is it will be kickass

I can't even joke at that, thats disgraceful. While everyone may laugh saying we get it before you, that's really not fair. So all the bloody setbacks and they make us wait 2 more full days??? Why? I love Bungie and I think the Xbox is great, but it's times like this that test that to the limit.

I know, but something like this should have a world-wide release date for everyone. You're always going to get the morons who are going to spoil the story for everyone aswell, so this site won't see anything of me for 3-4 weeks after it's out. Sorry to complain, but it really isn't fair. Britain is your countries greatest ally and friend, so why? I'll stop whining now!!!
MICROSOFT, LISTEN TO THE PEOPLE WHO MAKE YOU RICH FOR A CHANGE.

Done.

I apologise for this post, but it's how I felt on the day!!

Not true - Fable's being released in the US first. By more than two days as well.

Grrr, and not the frosties grrr either.

Ha ha, funniest thing I've read on the bungie forums in months!

Yeah its been pushed back to the 11th of November. The reason being for a november 9th release the game would have to be shipped to retailers the previous week, making it extremely tempting for retailers to sell the game early over the weekend.

The rest of Europe will get it on the 10th of November as the 11th is a public holiday in many countries.

If you ask me it sucks. No way I'll be going on the internet from about the 2nd of November incase I read any spoilers about the story. I can see why they are doing it, but why not let the UK have it on the same day as the rest of Europe? Making the UK waint an additional day makes no sense to me. I'm sure it does make sense to Microsoft though. That is until they realise the extra cost to marketing the game for three different release dates, especially as it has already been announced a the 9th for the US and Europe.

I know its only 2 days but that doesn't stop me from being in a huff about it.; ) Well I just have to hope that my local retailers will break the release date like they usually do with all other games and then maybe I'll get it on the 9th after all, maybe earlier. : )

Only just entered the thread, and I have to say that this is not very nice news to hear. But hey, fellow Brits, look at it like this: a thursday release means we only have to think of an excuse to get one day off work before the weekend to play halo, as opposed to people who get it on November 9th and have almost an entire week of work/school/uni stopping them from having some 'quality time' with the game. The glass is always half full!
And BTW, I'm not liking the anti-British sentiment expressed by some posters, there's just no need for it......

That isn't the reason. I'm guessing it's localisation issues.

Where did you get THAT from? Halo 2 won't be out in the UK after it's out in the rest of Europe. In fact, if you read the quote (which I forgot to do earlier), it implies that the rest of Europe will see it after the UK.

We all feel your pain!!

To make up for the fact that you guys are getting Halo 2 a whole 2 days after we in the states are, I thought I should show you guys this post. It was posted in the The Most Conclusive Therory EVER Written thread:)

Thank You Eagle, I am in awe of your mental prowess. As should anyone else be, I've seen the few nay-sayers in here, and I pose a challenge. Since you obviously want to argue points, I challenge you to come up with theorum disproving Eagle-117. It must be at least HALF as detailed and leave no room for complete dissection. If you can do this, I will buy you a copy of Halo 2.(That's right, read it again) I want the explanation at least as airtight as Eagle's. And I get 2 days to write a rebuttal of your theory. Eagle may join me as well. because he is obviously more eloquent in his writing.

If I cannot shoot down 70% of your theory, I will buy the first person who disproves it a copy of Halo 2.[/color]

Saving 50 bucks on Halo 2 may help you ease the pain of not getting your hands on it when we in the states do:)

Once again, sorry to here the bad news:(

Meanwhile, Halo 2 publishers Microsoft have announced that the game's UK release has been put back by two days, to Thursday 11 November - although it will still meet the previously-announced launch date of 9 November in the US. The slight delay isn't a sign of the PAL version of the game slipping, though.

"Game production is developing as planned," confirm Microsoft. "We have simply revised the launch date across Europe based on feedback from our retail partners."

They continue, "If we launched on 9 November we would have had to ship stock to retail by the end of the previous week. This means that retailers would have the game in stock yet not be able to officially put it on sale. The temptation to sell the game early over the weekend before the launch date could prove too strong for some European retailers, as we've seen in recent cases involving high-profile game releases." The most recent example of this would be Driv3r, which recently charted at number six even before it was officially on shelves.

Why Thursday though? If it were localization issues they'd've just pushed it to Friday like every other game released in the *stone age* UK.. ah hell I dont really want an answer to that, it doesn't matter.

Atleast it's 2 days less holiday I'll be booking off work!
