I can't believe people are actually going for this update. Every veteran player I have spoke with fervently hates the update. Dual wielding is utterly useless now. I've countered every combo, and have had mine all countered by the SMG. Where is the point in even bothering if all you have to do is grenade, or melee? One of the greatest signs of Halo 2's changing nature was Dual Wielding. And now it's gone. And sure, you can tell me to stop complaining. But the truth is, this update was made for the inexperienced, and lets face it, the suckiest of players, that for some reason felt the need to go -blam!-ing to Bungie about their own lack of skill. Tell me now, what was wrong with the Magnum? What was wrong with the Plasma Rifle? That they killed to quick? Learn the weapons! Get used to how they are used! Don't change the game because you happen to suck at it. And I want this point to be made perfectly clear: Halo 1 and Halo 2 are two DIFFERENT games. I had to have this told to me, but in the end, it makes sense. All of you Halo 1 fanboys that were so mad that Halo 2 wasn't made in its mirror image have to get it into your skulls that there is absolutely NO POINT in making a game that follows the exact same way of playing as its predecessor. There has to be a difference. Halo 2 had it. The only problems i can say existed with the weapons whatsoever, were with the Brute Shot and the Needler. That's it. Only because they were weapons that really couldn't be used to a decent degree. But you know what? I never felt the need to complain about the weapons. Not once. Deal with the fact that you are not as good as the veteran gamers. The veterans are capable of handling the fact that they aren't as good as the pros. Simple heirarchy of skill. See that? SKILL!!! That aspect is now gone from Halo 2. And I admit the fact that I am not the best of players. I have had my ass kicked numerous times. And sure, I've been pissed too. But I never once blamed Halo 2's system. It's the players. It's the tactics. If you are new to the game and can't beat a pro, hey guess what, that's to be expected. Balance is totally different from equality. The "balance" that now exists it the fact that anyone with any level of skill and holding almost any weapon can beat anyone else with anything else. With that considered, what's the point of a ranking system if everything is balanced out? A brand new player can now win a game against a veteran, so please tell me what's the point. The ability to get a weapon is no longer important. The fun from the unpredictability of what weapons they might have is now gone. The simple fact that you can't win a game, is not your opponent's fault. It's yours. If you can't win: TRAIN!!! There's system link, lan parties, campaign. Just because you can't win on live is not the game's fault. Learn to bend your skills to the game, or don't play it. Simple as that.
