Hmm.. I think I'm having a small bit of trouble understanding it. As far as I see it, your saying that... when he said "lost time", he meant his lost time, when he was built by the forerunners? Cause I am not a fan of the idea that Humans are the Forerunners, cause there is no logical way to gain enough metal to create four Halos. Let alone create climates that differ, along the ring. But, I trust you, sort of, cause I have nothing else to trust.

What do you mean there is no logical way to gain enough metal to make them? They are already made, how is that an issue? You do understand than when he said that humans are forerunners, he meant in the past, before halo's activation ( a long time ago)... just to clear things up.

1. 343 Guilty Spark said hat he was built by the Forerunners (In the books). Now, when 343 Guilty Spark reffered to his lost time, how could it mean anything other than the forerunners? It doesn't that is what he meant.

2. Then, since 343 Guilty spark reffered to that lost time, as human history, how could that not mean humans are forerunners...

3. Thirdly, if a long time ago, the forerunenrs (Now known as humans) were alive, and they built the Halo's. And when the Halo's were activated, and wiped out most of the forerunners, wouldn't that make for millions of years of, "Lost Time?" Hmmmmm..... Don't you see now what I've seen since the begining of all of this? The humans, are just a patch filling in for the forerunners, The Humans of NOW may not have built the Halo's, but they did build them a long time ago.

I don't want to get too in depth and start contradicting my insight that this is only a game and the plots don't go that far in, but Zuka Zammamee, when talking to the prophets on one occasion, said something about his armor, and the sheilds and those things, coming directly from the forerunners. They were having a conversation about the sheilds that Master Cheif has, and speculating weather or not it was better than the Jackal's wrist shield. He sounded concerend about the human sheilds being better. And asked something to the affect of: "Didn't the Forerunner themself give us this armor and technology?" To the best of my knowledge and memory (Which is extremely good, I read this book about a year ago.) there was no substantial reply to what Zuka inquired. Meaning that they may not have given the Covenant those supplies, and maybe the prophets are using this war for their own advantage...
I know this brings up all these new idea's trust me I want to go screaming with them, Go ahead and post it. I am making a new thread that has only to posts on it. Admin... Sticky it. It will have all the proof that Forerunners, are Human.

GS refered to that lost time like "hmm, human history, so thats what you call it" (like he was just interested) becuase thats what we DO call our history but I still don't see the connection of that history to the forruners, and you asking a question like "how could it mean anythign other than forrunners?" and answerign it yourself won't change my mind.
We still have to keep in mind that GS is probably gone nuts anyway and anythign he sais is not necessarily true.

i agree with eagle117's theory as much as humanly possible, in that Master Chief could be a clone of the past...and Covenant Ninja's additions, yet i have come up with a little idea..

what if the current master chief is the clone? he was freeze-dried you know. please feel free to slap this idea down.

Also, Eagle also stated that "... the Spartans weren't born with super human abilities. So, what is the next best armor that is used by the UNSC... ODST armor.

To add to this, we know that the soldier referred to as the "other Reclaimer" was wearing a suit of armor, because 343 GS refers to him as wearing a "less effective combat skin". So, we can tell from this statement, made by 343 GS, that the "other Reclaimer" was wearing a suit of armor that was less effective than the MC's. The only suit of armor that fits this profile is an ODST suit of armor. Normal soldiers do not wear suits of armor/combat skins. They just have a helmet and some bullet proof armor covering their vital organ areas.

This is why 343 GS may have mistakened an ODST for the Reclaimer."

This is leading me to think that Ackerson or whoever the higher-ranked human soldier/general is with the augmented bones or previous Spartan-II could have possibly shown up by himself.(i think it's quite obvious that i've only read Fall of Reach once, so don't flame me lol)

just something to think about. and to add, i haven't read every single post so..yeah.

im pretty pissed by the fact that chaplain here named his post "even more conclusive theory" after eagle named his "most conclusive" eagle did a lot of hard research, plus came up with some origional ideas for his theory which takes up around two pages and has sparked some 400 replies, chaplain on the otherhand is taking ideas that eagle already stated and is only summarizing whats been in discussion for the last three months regarding forerunners, nothing origional there and you have no proof. despite this fact chaplain is adamant that he and only he is correct, no way is this more conclusive when you have no solid evidence, quit tooting your own horn chaplain and admit that eagle's theory is more logical, solid, proven, and overall better than yours

1. 343 Guilty Spark said hat he was built by the Forerunners (In the books). Now, when 343 Guilty Spark reffered to his lost time, how could it mean anything other than the forerunners? It doesn't that is what he meant.

A: 343 Guilty Spark may simply be referring to time he was dormant on Halo, the humans have a bank of recent history that 343 wasn't able to go and get on his own, since he is a laboratory robot, his natural instinct is to learn. He learned all he could about the flood, having around 100,000 years or so to study them. So to make up for his dormant,(wasted, frittered away) or LOST time, he would then study Human history. He said "we have so much to catch up on" meaning the Forerunner or he himself (I wouldn't put it past the maniacal thing to refer to himself in the plural) needed to catch up on what was going on outside of the construct since it had last been fired. And in case you didn't know, Human history itself is only about 100,000 years old (Who'd have thought?) -blam!- sapiens having first appeared a tiny bit over 100,000 years ago in, (guess where!) Kenya. Guess what's in Kenya? Mombasa, where at least some of Halo 2's action takes place.

2. Then, since 343 Guilty spark reffered to that lost time, as human history, how could that not mean humans are forerunners...

See the answer to your redundant drivel explained above.

You may or may not be correct about the humans being the forerunner, but your explanations are horrible and full of holes, the Halos were activated 101,000 and some change years ago, not the millions in human history. Try thinking outside the peanut for a moment. 100,000 years? New Mombasa? Mombasa being near where they found the first -blam!- sapiens, that same fossil being a tiny bit more than 100,000 years ago? Think about things for a bit before you open that sewage filled blowpipe on the top of your neck.

And just for your continued edification, the plural of Forerunner is Forerunner.

Bump, Heh, guys, you all know what 343 meant, you can say no no no you're wrong... but you do know that's what he meant, and lets see, I don't think Admin will get mad at me for saying this, soon you guys will see it anyways. Here:

The admin gave me a proposition. He PM'd me, and Eagle, and he wants us to, instead of having sticky threads, have a thread, to oursleves, where we debate back and forth about "Theories." So the next thread will probably be something like Chaplain Vs. Eagle! Or something along those lines. I still want to keep this stickied though, and if that doesn't happen I'll bump it.

what theories would you debate back and forth on. honestly. you have ONE!!! based on 10 words spoked by 343 GS!!! Come on man, you can do better than that i hope. you have just been repeating the same thing OVER AND OVER AND IT IS -blam!-!!! Read through the books again and try to find some more proof, besides those 10 words. Eagle had about 10 different sources form the books!!! in any debate he would thrash you, as would i for a matter of fact.

So, i have a proposition for you. Why dont you take a break from boring us all with your countless topics about your theory, and study it. come back in 2-3 days with NEW evidence, and simply post it. STOP BUMPING YOUR TOPIC. if people really cared about ti they would look back one or two pages and move it up for you, like what people do to eagle's.

also, your a hypocrite. YOU tell eagle that it's just a game and doesnt go in depth. well isnt forerunners=humans in depth??? think before you post, PLEASE!!!

Why do that? You've already lost the 'debate' (if you want to call it a debate), you just won't accept it.

You have yet to prove that the 'Evolution of Man' doesn't exist in Halo.

You have yet to prove that Halos Earth has no evidence of fossils going back 2 million years even though humans should have been destroyed sometime in their evolution.

Dude, here, you said something about me being a hypocrate, I don't really know what you mean because I barely read your post (I was laughing from the begining when you were acting like this whole thing was my idea.) Uh, no, I'm not a hypocrate, I didn't go into deep deep deep deep deep details, going through the thought process of Ackerson and doing all political research of covenant polotics. I just stated something that is conclusive, obvious, and makes sense. YOU, are for lack of a better word, Dumb. D-U-M-B. I never came up with this idea for a debate, The admin did. and lets see what else did you say... Oh oh, a debate doesn't have to be one arguement, it can be more than one. You said "10 words spoked by 343..." Dude, Why should I even THINK about doing what you say? You said "Spoked." Dude, that's not even a word.

I will kill every person in the world. There is a possibility of a person outside your window that is about to shoot you in the face right now, a possibility I said.

Okay take those two scentences. Whichone is more expressive and powerful? The first one, and oh look at that, it's only 8 words long, no match against the 25 word scentence. Get it? The amount of words doesn't matter, 343 said something that brings up a HUGE situation, and most of all it comes to a conclusion, with actual physical evidence to back it up. Eagle doesn't have the same. You need to think before you post.

physical evidence???

do you physically see a picture of a forerunner looking like we do??? you HEAR a comment spoaken by an AI that has been cooped up by himself for 101,000 + years!!!

show me your physical evidence. Eagle admitted that his theory had holes in it. i found 6. his theory, atleast, was well thought out, relied on numerous passages in the book, and he didnt keep bringing it up and calling other people stupid when they said somethign about it.

and for me being dumb??? i think not.as a sophomore i took the ACT's and got a 26 on them...when I hadn't yet had half of the math or science I was tested on.

Oh boy, here we go. Dude, This is what I mean it doens't go this far in depth. Now take Bungie, and then take world history. Bungie, will not plan an entire game, around specifics, of wolrd hstory. If you think they will, you need to sleep. Dude, lol moron, Bungie doesn't care how far abck earths history goes... And besides even if they did plan it around world history I'll come up with an answer to your crusade of illogic. The halo destroyed everything that could be consumed or whatever, I don't get it, how does that mean that it will pulverize everything to the point where there are no fossil's whatsoever. ??? I'm confsed as to how you thought so hard you cramped yourself to this position, it's just a game, that isn't even a ligitimate arguement. They don't go that far in depth.

And when have I said ANYTHING about evolution. And if I do prove that evolution of man doens't exist in Halo, wtf, what would that even prove? Nothing. See you're not even trying to think of a ligitimate arguement. Just, yuo need to leave, go spend some time outside.

And lastly, how did I lose? I don't understand, what have yuo done to prove me wrong? Nothing.

How about this one Chaplain. Halo is set in THE FUTURE. OF US!!! It says so in the game manual, and in everything else. That means that every thing that has happened in OUR history, up to the making of Halo, is included in the game.

And yes, Bungie does go that far in depth. Bungie is making the number one game of all time, Halo2. But they are also making more than that. They are making one of the greatest STORIES of all time. The Halo books. Action Figures. The HALO BIBLE that Bungie created. They are giving themselves ways to expand on Halo and Halo2, like by making a Halo RTS, or a halo evolution game, where you command space exploration from now, year 2000, and on.

Bungie is also giving themselves room to make movies, numerous more books about humans progessing, etc... They are making an IDEA that, if they do it right, will rival Star Wars as the top Science Fiction conglomorate of all time.

This thread looks... different... I'm lost... can't find certain posts....

Anyway, I hate to break it to you, GameJunkieJim... but plural of Forerunner is Forerunners (I'm sorry,... I don't like to contradict you).

Remarked by that one guy that thinks a 26 is good, on the ACT’s: physical evidence???

Physical Evidence doesn’t need to be seen, it can be text, and in this case, that is what I’m talking about, 343 GS said that stuff, go read it in the book. You also HEARD him say it, and that is also physical. You found 6 holes in Eagles theory. You see? His theory isn’t even on track, it jumps around and leaves holes in it, What have you disproved in my “Theory?” Nothing so far.
1. There is physical evidence that 343 himself says he is human. (Inadvertently)

2. 343 GS is 101,000 years old… You guys, time is only a measurement of how many times we go around the sun. Time really isn’t real, it’s just like a ruler, or measuring stick.

3. And lastly, what doesn’t make sense in my “Theory…”

Answer those.

And I won't call people idiots.

Oh and by the way, you spelled Spoken wrong… Again.

Just because they are making probably the greatest game of all time, does not mean that they will go THAT far in depth... NO, the creation of halo was not within the time period of the gameplay as you said. It even describes that the halo was millions of years old or something. Dude, you don't understand, Star Trek only has so many theories and beleifs behind it because of the people that think that stuff up. You need to realize that even the makers of Star Trek don't have the theories. It's all fan fiction. All of it. Just people like you that want to take one step too far. My conglamorate of facts written in from a fictional story, is not a theory. It is all "Fictional Facts." Facts from within he fictional story. You guys are using facts from within OUR life, and that just doesn't work. Star trek, lets see, you could say stuff like, "Well what about the fact that if you DID make that kind of star ship and send it to outter space it would mess up that worlds gravitational pull becuase you took so many rescources off of it to build that ship." that is completely reasonable. But the makers of star Trek weren't thinking about that, they were thinking of the awesome story line... See? You can't go to the extremities that they were thinking about the fossil records... AND I ALREADY EXPLAINED IT! Even IF, IF that is, they were using Fossil records, how is it that that disproves my theory? All it does is say, that they took into consideration fossil records, it doesn't disprove my "Theory" in any way.

 • 07.12.2004 2:25 PM PDT

With B.B. gone, the passion of Bungie.net has lessened.

I wouldn't say this theory isn't well thought out, because it is (and there are no holes in it... unless you count some things that Chaplain misquoted (I'm not sure if its in this thread... it may be in the other one that I bumped a second ago (Forerunners Proven to be Human)))... but its obvious, and many people have thought of it before, wether they had seen Chaplain's posts or not (no offense, Chaplain).

And nothing is going to completely disprove this theory until Bungie says so. But, just the same, nothing will completely prove this theory either... What you say is evidence that suggests it may be right, Chaplain... not proof...

Your entire theory is based on something that can be interpreted in MANY ways. The way you interpret it is one of the more far-fetched ways of doing so. 343 Guilty Spark is not human. He's not even Forerunner. He is an AI.
Also, time is real. It's not just a measurement of how many times we go around the sun. That's the common scale of time for us, because it works.

What is time? Seconds, minutes, hours, days, years. What makes a day? One full rotation of our planet. What makes hours, minutes and seconds? Part rotation of the planet. Time is only a measurement. Dimensions best describe your (The more common beleif) of "time."

My idea is not a theory. Don't call it a theory. It is Fictional based facts. And it is way less far fetched than a human so far up, wth so much power, with everything he wants, and aliens destroying his planet, to turn against it all (Power, friends, family, home.) and be part of your interpreted forerunners evil plans. My fictionaly based facts, are more beleiveable that when somebody says they are human (inadvertantly or not) they are. You're right, he's not forerunner. He is AI. But he said he was constructed by the forerunner. And finnally, yuo sai my "Theroy" can be interpreted in many different ways. not true. Two at the most. Which parts are you talking about? The part where he says "All of our lost time." That can only be Human, or something else (unidentified.) It can't be multiple things.

 • 07.12.2004 2:56 PM PDT

With B.B. gone, the passion of Bungie.net has lessened.

It can have different meanings... not multiple meanings. Only one is true... whether or not that meaning is yours, Chaplain, is up to Bungie... I personally think, as I've stated before, 343 was only referring to the relationship between him and the Chief (the one the Chief doesn't think exists, because he just met 343), and the time that passed between their "last" meeting and the events on Halo.... not necessarily Human History itself... it might just be what 343 thinks the Master Chief's past is.

And, ironically, I don't believe in Time. Its way to inconsistant and mess-upable (unless many theories about space-time are proven wrong...). And dimensions are a different matter.... Just the way I look at things. I'm a weirdo, aren't I?
