If you use the words Halo and multiplayer in the same sentence, the first thing that springs to many players' minds is Blood Gulch. I can't really explain why, but Halo 2's Coagulation just didn't make the cut, you know?

Sidewinder and Blood Gulch are probably where I play 99% of my LAN parties, when I'm not Warthog racing on the Maw, and my ultimate questions are the following:

Why is BG so appealing, and,
Why the hell did they take it out on Halo 3 (so now I have to use the crappy Valhalla there)?

R.I.P. Halo 2
11/9/04 - 4/15/10

- B( )B

Blood Gulch all the way. Holy piss, good times. CTF matches there were like wars compared to Halo 2 & 3 where CTF matches were simply skirmishes. They required time and coordination and intense killing ability to win. It was a big deal when the flag carrier died because of touch return, it made capturing the flag just so satisfying.

somewhere in the heavens...they are waiting. I love the Marathon Trilogy.
Halo CE will always be the best game in the Halo franchise. What a perfect game.
(Proud LONGTIME owner of the PC and Xbox versions of Halo CE)

Sidewinder FTW! I think the greatest team map in the Halo trilogy.

Hang 'Em high. No doubt.

Doc: "i'm a pacifist"
Caboose: "your a thing that babies suck on?"
Tucker: "no dude, that's a pedephile"
Church: "tucker, i think he means a pacifier"

thank you, i couldn't believe it when i didn't see it on the poll. hang 'em high was easily one of the most entertaining slayer maps we ever used back in out old glory days of LAN parties. when it comes to CTF i would have to say either blood gultch or sidewinder. sidewinder offered the greatest challenge, with games running in excess of 3 hours at times. blood gultch offered some chaotic war zones.

QFT, KOTH on this map was a blood bath especially when the hill was located on the central L shaped strut....mental

Oh, I remember some CTF games, 3 vs. 5 or 6 vs. 10. Me being on the smaller side...I'd always use the shotgun hallway to outmaneuver the other team, and often they had no idea where I was. Fun thymes.

Yax is a shining beacon in these dark times. You should all strive to be more like Yax.

Blood Gulch. For sure.

I honestly struggle to even remember the other maps.
