You got stuck by FalconStickr

Dont we all love the classic button glitches in Halo CE. such like

BLB - double melee
XXY - Backpack reload
XXL - Throw a grenade while reloading

These combos are classic and fun to do as well. Gave a lil edge to the game. The double melee was hard couse the melee in general was hard. NO lunge like H2 and H3. Why should he lunge anyways? And the no hit box makes it even harder. This is the best Halo made a will be to me forever. Tell me what you think of the glitches I would love to hear what you have to say

Like the glitches in Halo2, they serve only for fun. I don't really like them in competitive play, though I do know how to perform them right.

Screw backpack reload, I reloaded like a man by performing the swapping weapons glitch!

For the less informed:

1) Have a weapon prepared on the floor with which you can swap.
2) Reload your current weapon
3) Wait for the magaazine/clip/tube to eject
4) Swap the weapon with the one on the floor
5) You should hear the reload sound for the dropped weapon start again. Wait for it to finish, then wait 1-3 more second(s).
6) Pick up your original weapon. The total ammo should be no different to before you dropped the weapon.

Backpack reloading was the only thing that got me through T&R's Gravlift room on legendary.

For reload you hit X,X, Y. The second X allows the weapon to continue it's reloading cycle while you have the secondary weapon in hand. You can even hear it if you listen close enough.

I can see how that would have been useful.

I just ran away there. :P

I did the same.

I don't know if you could consider it a button combo, since I'm thinking it was intended, but I also enjoy the crouch-landing to reduce fall damage. There is so much depth in Halo: CE that is missing from its sequels.
