That was... so... bad.
For a political thriller, that was well done, exhausting all facets of modern and classic film making.
Though I agree, if one's going to utilize lasers, one requires sharks wielding them in some shape or form. In that respect, I still only partially agree with you.
One other thing to note was the utter class carried on from scene to scene. Believe you me, I've seen "Ms. Doubtfire as well as "The Land Before Time" and, while the character development exhibited in both those films was nothing short of success, their depictions of an ailing democracy yearning for substance in their socio-economic realms are, how do I say, generic...
"How's My Four Shot" actually carries a bit of originality in its refugee/political asylum story telling. The omniscient viewer frequently hinted at throughout the scenes is, in fact, mere social commentary.
Cinematography and lighting were also aspects that require praise. Though the soundtrack could have used a slightly more original sound.
