That would be useful. Yes. It would. *looks at mods hopefully*

Probably not going to happen because it offers a trivial benifit at the cost of some semi-significant server resources. Everything is cached in one timezone to make things operate better. It's not set in stone that it won't happen, but don't get your hopes up for it.

Moving post to Septagon for community and website discussion...

Does anyone else wish our Bungie profiles had a setting for timezone? Then I could see my stats in GMT or whatever, instead of PDT.

-Quaere verum.

Got a report? Use the report tool or send a pm.
Chairleg Productions presents: 'Console Wars' and 'Games as Art?' (also on Halo Waypoint).

Do you use the times a lot? If not, it's not really an issue.

The servers only need to work in PDT and all the data would be stored in PDT. I just mean it would just apply a time offset depending on what profile you use on the screens you are looking at.

Currently I use the time on matches to see old results for me and my friends. It is nice to have, and currently bugs the h... out of me.

If you're going to take over the world, you have to be consistent.

It wouldn't work because of the forum's cache system.

OK, I dont know the system.

But (note to self, never give backchat to Mods)....

But the forum (run by Ideal Science software) could be modified to change the time on the displayed page by modifying the ASP code using dateadd(). And this was back in 2002. It might even be natively supported in the new wizzy version. Especially as Bungie are the company splashed all over there web pages as the latest and greatest user.

But is is a nice to have, so I will forget about it. Thanks for the help.

No, it wouldn't.

This is how it works: person A views a post and gets the information from the database. Person B then views the same post and sees a cached version of what A just saw. This happens until Person C comes along after the cache time has elapsed and retrieves a new copy from the database.

It's there for performance issues.
