So TXB's just posted my Halo 2 preview and I'd like to know what you all think of it.

http://community.teamxbox.com/xbox/841/Halo-2-Preview/p1

I'm starting school at ASU in the fall to obtain my journalism degree, and I wrote this to sort of brush up on my skills. I really want to do game journalism, but I'm not sure if my writing style caters well to this type of audience.

Too long? Too wordy? Any feedback would be great. Also if you spot any inaccuracies I'd love to hear of them. Thanks!

Oh yeah, what will happen when u want to duel wield 2 SMGs, and not pick up the ammo? i think that walkin over a weapon <excluding plasma weapons> DOESNT give you ammo. In the E3 multi trailer, remember seeing Rocket Launcher Ammo n Needler Ammo next to theiir weapon????

I think the most reasonable explanation would be that the two SMG's together would share a single ammo reserve. This means that if you walked over one while holding another, it would simply pick up the extra ammo. If you then picked up the weapon the ammo supply would have to split into two.

So you think, you pick up the Ammo and leave the gun to be picked up? that could work, and is probably the truth.

Well, it's all still very fuzzy, but we can infer that much.

SB-117

Nice article :)

I would of read the whole thing except, I already knew pretty much everything about Halo 2 and I'm pretty lazy ;) . But from what I read, if all of it is like that it is definately excellent, nice job.

Is this what you meant? If you see an SMG on the floor (that has say 100 rounds) and you have a single SMG in your posession missing 100 rounds. You walk over the SMG on the ground and pick up the extra ammo. So, the one on the ground is now empty and the one your holding is full. Most guns on the ground disappear if their ammo is empty, but because its dual wieldable, it stays put so you can pick it up, and share the ammo between the two SMGs. I wasn't sure what you meant but I think this is the easiest system even if it does mean more polygons in the level.

Yeah, you got it ash. But under the scenario I described, they'd probably make the ammo capacity for these weapons (needler, smg, ?new pistol?) a bit bigger, considering that they'd be near-worthless by themselves and only effective when DW'ed.

Gahh, every time I submit something online the editor goes and butchers my opening paragraph. It wasn't supposed to read like....that. ;)
