This is annoying. My computer is made for online games (like halo). but this -blam!- site trafficmarketplace.com keeps on spaming my screen woth what they call "under pop-ups" or something. Even though i block pop-ups, these can get past my pop-up blocker and make my game minimise (which causes major lag) and by the time I close it all and open the game, I'm dead. How can I get this site to stfu (forgive my language and abriviation)

They just e-mailed me, they said You will see TrafficMarketplace advertisements (i.e. banners and
pop-unders) whenever you are visiting a site operated by one of our
publishers. Publisher websites (like the one that delivered our ad) sell
ad space to third-parties (i.e. TrafficMarketplace) to keep their
websites free for all users. The revenue from ads allows websites to
present you with news, stocks, games, entertainment and other
information sources you enjoy.

If you are being bombarded with multiple ads from TrafficMarketplace,
there may be one or more causes. The publisher?s site you were visiting
may not be adhering to our frequency cap requirements.
TrafficMarketplace requires all of our publishers to enforce strict
frequency caps. Frequency capping limits the number of times a given
advertisement is presented to the same user. We frequency cap all our
ads to make sure that users don't get bombarded with them. While the
time periods for frequency capping varies, most advertisers, including
us, frequency cap at 24 hours. Therefore, users will only see our ads
every 24 hours.

Although most publishers adhere to our frequency cap requirements, you
may still be viewing multiple TrafficMarketplace ads due to other
causes. For instance, if the publisher is represented by another
website, you may be served more than one TrafficMarketplace ad within a
single user session. If the representing website publishes
TrafficMarketplace ads as well, some of the ads could be duplicated. The
duplication of ads can also be caused due to the publisher?s ad serving
choices (i.e. outsourced versus proprietary).

Unfortunately, multiple ads are usually due to spyware. Spyware is any
software that covertly gathers user information through the user's
Internet connection without his or her knowledge, usually for
advertising purposes. Spyware applications are typically bundled as a
hidden component of freeware or shareware programs that can be
downloaded from the Internet. Once installed, the spyware monitors user
activity on the Internet and transmits that information in the
background to someone else. Spyware can also gather information about
e-mail addresses and even passwords and credit card numbers. TMP does
not endorse the use of spyware.

Be sure to check against spyware that you may have unknowingly
downloaded. The way to do this is to go to: My Computer, Control panel,
Add/Remove Programs, then check to see if there are any programs that
may have been accidentally downloaded such as Wintools, WhenU,
FreeScratch Cards and Huntfly. You can also try this free scanner
download program to locate spyware by SpyHunter.

There are several spyware blocking software solutions on the market, for
instance, i.e. Lavasoft Ad-aware or Spybot. However, TMP cannot confirm
or deny the effectiveness of any ad removal program. To eliminate all
pop-under ads you would need to purchase pop-blocking software.

The preceding information should eliminate excessive ad popping. If you
can respond to this email with names of the removed programs we can take
immediate action to make sure this doesn?t happen to you or anyone else
in the future.

If I haven?t been able to successfully answer your question, please feel
free to respond.
