RIP Halo 2

I don't really know what to tell you. Maybe you should get a new disk?

That's because the damaged file is still in the cache memory. Start over, delete all existing H2 Map Packs and then delete the cache. See Dr WE1RD if you need instructions for the deletions. After deletion, download again.

It might just be that downloadable content from Xbox Live for the original Xbox might be corrupt. Try using your friends disk with your xbox and if it works then it is just your Xbox or your disk. You should also check to see if you have enough space on your Xbox.

My chalupas I DEFEND! From the king of the great chalupa seaaa!
With his arms of modern steam-powered engine of the future!

I have the same problem, it happened to me when I first tried to download the Halo 2 map packs. The first one wouldn't work so I deleted the corrupt file and redownloaded it. Same problem. I've even tried some of the other map packs but none of them work. I think that it might be a problem with the Halo 2 download server or whatever you want to call it.

Yeah, that happened to me when I popped in my Halo 2 disc yesterday in my 360. I just re-downloaded all of the map packs and it was fine.

Yeah, could be. We get this same question a lot here (2-4 per week). It's usually a good idea to clear the cache (360 dash/Sys Settings/Memory/HDD) as well as delete maps. At the HDD page press Y then XX, LB, RB, XX and it will ask to perform maintenance. Say yes and it clears the cache. The currupt info in cache memory can be as bad as a corrupt map. When restarting the process you will be asked to update (goes into cache)

Ironically, it happened to me yesterday, I exited Halo 2 and downloaded the 4(?) mappacks, I received the same answer as you, so I went to the Harddrive, deleted all mappacks (Under games, Halo 2, downloads, then the maps). I re-downloaded them again, then was fine.
