Did you get your Xbox on June 16th or just Halo?

If you gotta dirty disc give it a clean, if you try that and it didnt work then you probably scratched it real badly and now your X-box cant read it!

Mine does the same thing but only when I try to load the Assault on the Control Room.

I've got the cleanest disc in the world and it still does that backwards loading, dirty disc thing. Knocked me off my rocker.

If your disc just needs a clean, don't use anything stupid like Windex. Unless you're really asking for it. Nail Polish/acetone is a no no/hell -blam!- no. Plus you're justing being plain damn stupid if you do that, and believe me, it happens. Idiots.. Instead, take a cotton/soft cloth and wipe it from the center, OUT. Not around in a circle.

XBOX.com suggests but does not reccomend using a DVD disc lens cleaner on your box. If you just bought your X-Box and you damage it with this it might ruin the guarentee..or something like that as it states on the site. My guarentee is up. And I want the green x-box for Halo 2 anyway >_>

A friend of mine opened up his and there was a CARPET of dust and lint. You know, like the lint colletion in your dryer that you played with when you were 7...or last night. Give that a shot ONLY if you're willing.

All else fails, pop the tray open, get down on your knees and blow into that thing like it paid you for a good time.

Good luck, mate.

Elevate your Xbox as high as possible to minimize static from dust. I used to have that problem a lot of the time.

The Dirty disk error can also mean that your DVD drive is failing. I have had a couple friends do that and they had to spend 25 bucks (not bad at all) on a new DVD drive...The Thompson drive in most of the Xbox's just flat sucks and dies out quite often. Mine is starting to do that as well.

Nah. The gaem just does that when it get's old. Mine does that too, on the levels I play all the time. It loads like it's brand new when I play the Library. :p

I suggest bringing it to a Russian Repair Shop. If they don't steal it or break, you might still be able to play.
