So im planning on getting a wireless router and wireless adapter for my comp so i can put it in my room. What i want to know is if wireless connections are slower than physical connection in terms of gaming, like playing halo and such.

nope, not for me. I play wireless sometimes, and it stays fine.

I play on a wireless connection. If it wasn't for all the other people on it (public dorm connection), I would love it. If you've got a private wireless, it's good. I used to have one...

Anyway, its good if you don't share it.

Theoreticaly it shouldn't make a difference but you may get interference and or information loss because it is wireless. I would recomend that you use a wire if it is convenient.
