Now, i already decided what i'm gonna upgarde to:
A8N-SLI (nforce 4 mobo)
athlon 64 3000 OC
1 geforce 6600 gt

I'm gonna leave the rest the same. I mighht change the RAM to a low-latency RAM but it'll do for now.

Howevcer, i'm a 14 yr old and i don't have the money. So, when do u think i can buy all of this with 200.00 or less?

4-6 years, when it will be a pile of crap.

Seriously, socket A systems with CPU, mobo, and video card are still about that price, and they have been around for ages. You can't even get a decent 754 system with that.

That's about $500 worth of hardware, your $300 short. It's summertime, the grass is growing. If your dad has a lawnmower he will let you use you can raise the money mowing lawns or doiong yardwork. Don't wait for the price to drop to you increase your money to be able to get it.

Isn't it around twice as much? They don't change the amount of currency though do they? If they do its not a direct conversion.

Well, I just bought the following:

Athlon 3000 (939 pin)
X800 pro
Abit motherboard AN8

This was just over £400. And £400 is a lot more than $400.

Dude, knowing that you are from the UK, you should've gone to Maplins. I picked up an AMD Athlon64 3000+ with a Kv2 Extreme mobo for £200... The mobo isn't PCi-E compatable, but that's what I wanted. With every manufacturer now heading towards the new standard, it won't be long before the top end AGP cards drop through the floor pricewise.

I must admit, the website sucks! Fortunately, I have a store just down the road and I always have a bit of a 'mooch' if I'm around that way.

Is it worth getting an Athlon 64 3400/3200? Will the 3000 perform just as well or will I notice a big increase in performance? Can I overclock it with software and preferably without having to modify the BIOS?

$200 won't be enough - the MB alone will run you almost $200 after shipping. I'd wait until dual cores come out - prices should drop on the things you want then. Software isn't really keeping up with hardware, so if you can wait, you're ina buyers' market. $200 might get you a lindows pc though....

Ok, thanks. If theres not much of a price difference I will get the 3400 but I bet there will be. [url=http://usa.asus.com/products/mb/socket939/a8v-e-d/overvi ew.htm[/url]This is the motherboard I think I will be getting. I am 99.99% sure it will be compatible with the better processors but ya never know what weird quirks things have.

Does the A8V-E have nForce 4? If not then I think i will go with the board you recomended ioniz. If there is any reason why I shouldn't go with one or the other please tell me.
