Why aren't there anymore updates for this game anymore? Not even Halo CE. Why?

There was actually a patch for Halo CE not too long ago that made the game not require the CD. But I think the reason is because most people have moved onto Halo 3. Bungie's catering to the fans of their most popular game right now.

Support for old games are gone. Why support something that you can't make money off when you can get more money from a newer game?

Well, Halo 2 came out November of '04, so with the Windows Live PC version of Halo 2 out for the computer in '07 along with Halo 3... well, most people have moved on. Though, it still fin and has pretty good detailed graphics. I also heard that (If you have the PC version) there will be some other updates, but I'm not sure.

I don't see why if a title still has a strong fanbase that Bungie couldn't aleast push a few more updates out.

Maybe if there's ever a break in there seemingly never-ending work on new projects, then they might just have a little time to throw in some updates. That probably wouldn't be for a long time still, but you can't loose hope :-)

What would they update, aside from the playlists?
Think about it, the first things they will go for will be glitches, such as the button glitches or getting out of maps.
They'd probably rebalance the weapons to be more Halo 3-esque, and maybe improve matchmaking speeds.

The result? The Halo 2 community complains about the update, resulting in a slightly smaller population.

Though, I would like it if Bungie would update the Playlists 1 last time, according to what the community says (a series of polls would be nice)

Bungie is the best.

Simple as that.

True, gotta cater for the mass market, plus Halo 2 is fine as it is, no need changing anything.
