Hey all.
I don't consider myself a computer genius so I'm wondering if somebody could answer my question. When I run Halo 2 on my laptop it works, but it runs very slow. For example, I'll press down on my d-pad and there's like a one second delay before something happens. Is this because my processor is too slow, or is something else wrong?

Thanks

Yes, I am a hypocrite, and I'm sorry. I really do mean well, but I'm not running on all cylinders.

Everytime someone buys a copy of Halo 2 Vista, a puppy dies.

Your processor may be slow, but try disabling vsync for your video card. It always gave me problems like that.

Stupid parents let their stupid children play games that are rated M when they should be playing Big Birds Spelling Adventures

Also the AR is actually good in CQB now and no longer a glorified baseball bat.

What are your computer specs?

Wait, D-pad? Are you using the keyboard or an Xbox 360 controller?

If you're using an XB360 controller, then it is normal to get movement lag like that sometimes. However, it can be corrected. That's basically all I know, as I don't use controllers in my PC, but my brother does in his laptop.

If it's a keyboard, then you're just lagging. May be due to your computer's specs, or even just server problems or something like that. Post a DxDiag (DirectX Diagnostics report) for the rest of the community to see, so they can better understand what the problem could be. Also, your answer may be in This Thread. Hope this helps!

Kindly refrain from Frog-Blasting my Ventcore.

What he said. Your problem could be anything from a slow processor, or low RAM, to a crappy video card.
